A Sleepy Sensational Sunday

21 Comments 2443 views

Last night was ROUGH. Little Bean has his nights and days mixed up. He’s seems to be most alert between 2-4AM. That combined with nursing sessions every 2 hours and I’m more than exhausted. But even so, I did my best to make today a Sensational Sunday.

It all started in the kitchen with my boys.

Littly guy had some waffles and Jelly

with the juice from my grapefruit.

I had some oatmeal and grapefruit. My newest GreenLiteBites creation. Click here to check it out.

And Little Bean slept peacfully, of course. :)

After breakfast the boy played and I got a shower in.

My Sister-in-Law came to visit with her husband and daughter. It was nice to have another baby in the house. She’s about 9 months and it gave Little Guy a taste of what’s to come with our new baby.

As you can see he was having fun with her or should I say along side her.

He’s also rediscovering his love of photograghy. :)

I got a nap in and then once they left we bundled everyone up and headed out.

Hitting Wendy’s for dinner on our way to the grocery store to stock up on supplies.

I made Little Guys lunch while putting away the grocery’s and the husband handled bath and bed time story. We didn’t get as much done as we normally do on Sunday’s but I feel prepared for the week.

To help with dinner and curb our eating out habit, I planned some meals for the week. It helped make grocery shopping go a little faster too. On the menu this week…

Ok, I’m about to nurse now and hoping to get a few hours of sleep tonight. Keep your fingers crossed!

That’s always the hardest part when they are most alert during the night! I don’t envy you right now. BUT, I give you major kudos for planning some nice dinners! Good luck tonight

Super – you are doing wonderful! I used to make dinner when was good time to do, and sometimes that was at 2 pm, and then could warm up for supper time. Or make ahead night before with Daddy’s help.
One thing I always give new mom’s is a tray of snacks to keep in fridge – veggies, and healthy wraps – so can grab to eat while breast feeding and lots of water.

you’ll soon master the art of nursing a sleeping infant at night while browsing the internet…just like i am right now.

Umm…. is it just me or did the “little guy” double in size overnight. And, he looks more like his daddy than I remember before too. When my daughter was born and I looked at my son (3 at the time), I remember thinking that he looked like a giant all of a sudden… like within just a few hours of seeing him before my daughter was born. How do they grow that fast? It’s amazing isn’t it :)

Grocery shopping? Menu planning? Making breakfast? Barely a few days post partum!?! I am definitely lazy, but that sounds like an olympic event, to me…

Make sure you rest when you can.

    Go Roni!
