I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

I Think one of the thing that we first have to learn when we want to lose weight is changing our habits, I was pass on really bad habits( Having breakfast with soda, never drink water when I was thirsty but soda, most of my meals where always carbs and little protein and veggies,no physical activities at all, Etc) now that I´m aware of those bad habits I’m trying to change them in me and also teach my kids the new habits and brake the cycle, May grandma was raise la day, my mom was, I was, but i wont raise my kids like that. I enjoy the podcast a lot, I`ve been waiting for it all day long!!! (sorry for my grammar english is my second language, hoping to get better with time!!!)

Great podcast! I really enjoyed it! I totally think I am going to give that smoothie thing a try! Once I find out how much kale is (hubby and I are on tight budget!)

Another thing to consider re: breastfeeding is that some women find that they are VERY hungry during that period. I haven’t got any babies yet, but I’ve had two friends tell me that there is not a time in their lives when they have been more ravenous, deep-down hungry than when they were breastfeeding. Definitely an individual thing, but it would definitely make it harder to follow WW during that time if you were one of those women, I’d think!

Great pod cast!! Here are my 5 things:
    1. Workout an hour per day
    2. Eat healthy each day
    3. Have my meals planned each week so I have healthy choices ready
    4. Be more organized in general (I find the more organized I am the better I feel mentally!)
    5. I’d like to learn how to meditate (another stress reliever)

Now if I could only accomplish this list!!

Roni, I had to make myself a smoothie. I didn’t have kale or plain yogurt, so I used blueberry greek yogurt and spinach. Absolutely wonderful! I may have to make this a daily habit as well. I also tried the portabella sandwhich lets just say it didn’t go so well. But it was good anyways. Love your blog and am glad I found you.

Roni – Thank you for answering my question! I understand exactly what you are saying and I am hoping to use this time in my life to make a mental shift in how I see my body and food and the example I want to make for the bambino. I guess regardless why I am losing, I will try to take advantage of this time. Interesting about what your coworker said about ridding the body of fat cells. Might do a little more digging and see what I can find out. I guess I will just rely on my OB to tell me to start eating more :)

My smoothie needs more ice. I used a banana, pear, a little coconut milk and a bunch of spinach. It tastes like a foamy banana. I think I’ll freeze the banana for a bit next time. And add a little ice.

I seriously LOVE green smoothies. And you’re so right– they taste weird at first, but then you really start to CRAVE them!!!

laine – definitely try freezing the banana. I won’t even drink them unless they use fully frozen bananas.

Laine – I agree with Paige. I always use at least one frozen fruit or add ice. Frozen strawberries have been working great for me!

Today’s smoothie – 1/2 banana, 8 ice cubes, 1/2 bunch of kale (frozen), coconut milk (not the kind from a can, the kind from a soy milk type carton). Much better, not so bananay. Still trying to figure out the blender layering. Almost burned it out with the ice cubes on the bottom.

laine – Good on you for freezing the kale. That’s a really popular “trick” with raw food people – people say that it makes it so you can add way more kale without tasting it.

    Hey Roni,

Great video. There’s so much I could say about it but specifically on minute 16:17 where you just were listing the 3 things you started doing and you said “move more”! Ha ha!

You know… I think that’s awesome. I think people just make this whole weight loss think too HARD. Wondering what to do and afraid they’ll “make a mistake”. Guess what – You’re going to make mistakes guys!! That’s life. The most important thing is that you just do something.

I know it sounds so “cliche”, but it’s the truth. If you’re moving and doing things you can make corrections as you go along. I’ve just seen people lose far more weight like this. Clients. Friend. you name it. Kinda like what Roni was getting at.

I think this is the hardest message to convey to people – just pick something and do it. Start moving. So Roni posted blog post, made food journal and then “just moved”. Hey… at least something was happening.

    Anyway… Just food for though.

I could say a whole lot more about the video, but that would take up too much space here.

    Thanks for the video Roni.

I just ate a veggy smoothie for the first time, it was actually pretty good.
