The word of the day is…. Tired. Man am I tired. Last night I was invited to a last minute poker game which kept me up a little later then normal. I woke up with Little Man this morning NOT very ready to face the day.

But I forged on. Making a nice warm breakfast give me a boost…

Tangerine Pecan Oatmeal 2

Tangerine Pecan Oatmeal.

After breakfast Little Guy and I were off to visit a friend. I raided her maternity clothes before heading out to see Megamind. It was a beautiful day and we decided to walk. It was wonderful! I brought my camera BUT pregnant mind has settled in and I forgot the battery was in the charger. SO.. camera with no battery mean no pictures. :(

Visiting, walking, having lunch, seeing the movie and travel time took pretty much the whole day. By the time we came home it was 4PM and I totally crashed. I napped for about an hour on the couch before making dinner.

So my day was fun, active and relaxing HOWEVER the Husband had a VERY productive day. While we were gone he finished cleaning the garage, did the laundry (yes, the LAUNDRY!) empty and filled the dishwasher and fertilized the yard.

I know. I hardly believe it myself. :)

Right now I’m showered and settled in to watch the Walking Dead, my new favorite show. I am having a bit of a snack attack even though I went a little overboard on the pizza for lunch today. And you KNOW Little Man and I hit up the popcorn and candy at the movies.

Just a reminder there’s a few more days to enter The Top Your VitaTop Recipe Contest. I also have a Thanksgiving BlogToLose Challenge underway. Oh! and there are 2 more days to enter the colorful potato giveaway I’m hosting on GreenLiteBites!

I’m totally looking forward to the holiday this week. I’m in need of some family time and I have a household of people on their way!

It’s so cute that you are getting maternity clothes back from your friend. Enjoy wearing them!

  2. First of all, the fact that the husband did the laundry is awesome! I’m also LOVING The Walking Dead. Excited that it’s coming back for a second season!

What did you think of Megamind? I took my kids last weekend and they loved it. By the way could you send your hubs here, my yard needs major work!

Patty – I dosed off a but but I don’t think it was the movies fault. Little Man loved it! He was dancing at the end and we came hold telling “Daddy” all about it.

As for the husband.. the yard is TOTALLY his domain. I do NO work outside unless it’s my own garden or potted plants. ;)

  5. Your tangerine pecan oatmeal looks lovely. I think pecans or walnuts and oatmeal were made for each other!

OMG!!! The Walking Dead is our favorite new show as well. And that oatmeal looks so tasty. I think I may have to buy some tangerines and pecans have have that tomorrow morning!!!

Oooh wow, that looks good! :)

You should invest in a belly band- I got a few at Target. It helps you wear non maternity pants or shirts that aren’t quite long enough to cover your growing belly, I LOVE mine! Also Target sells some black yoga type pants without a tight waist band that are only $15 (soooo much cheaper than maternity pants!) I’ve worn nearly my entire pregnancy (size Large which makes me feel better on those ‘I’m a pregnant cow’ days.) Oh yeah, and your oatmeal looks divine!
