I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Another great idea for tracking is to use your cell phone camera to take a picture. I am almost always on my computer but when I’m not near it I take a picture with my phone for reference later.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the earbud review. I have fried so many pairs and hate the outside my ears ones. Off to check those out for my weekend workouts.

Hey, Roni! It’s me, Laura, the one who asked about podcasts. You are right, if you just create a page with an index of all of your audio files, that would do it. All I really need is an easy way to find them all in the same place, rather than going through every page of every blog entry to scour for them.

Thanks for answering my question! I still enjoy Blog to Lose, but haven’t been there as much lately. I have my own blog page now (which you’ve commented on once–thanks!), but I love to keep up with the Weekly Challenges on B2L.

You continue to keep me motivated and inspired to try new things, and to embrace this healthy lifestyle. I really have modeled everything I do after you, I’ve lost 60 pounds since August 2009, and I’ve been running one 5k per month since June. I’m actually planning my first 5k now, so I’m really in the thick of it. :)

    Keep keepin’ it real!

Thanks for posting my question! I have come a long way since I wrote that email to you – wow that was almost a year ago! I was asking about you running the baltimore marathon and next week I will run the baltimore 1/2 marathon – my first! Super excited! Aiming for the Virginia Beach Marathon in March as my first full marathon!

I have lost 45 lbs now total but have lagged for about 5 weeks now – working out a ton but cant seem to get my eating under control. uhhhh… but I will get there! Only 15 more lbs to go!

Roni, I loved what you had to say on gaining new readers. I have put a lot of those practices into play (commenting on posts, having conversations on twitter, posting on facebook, etc) and I have to say I totally agree. I am noticing a bit more traffic on my site due to those practices. I hate when a person seems like all they want to do is get readers to their site without putting any genuine effort out there. Thanks for the great tips!

    Hi Roni,

You always seem to answer questions that apply to my situation at the given time- I think it is amazing!! I have just started my own weight loss blog in the hope that it will keep me accountable and I never even thought of getting readers, because I am doing it for myself, but i think you are right that having random people post on your wall wishing you well is amazing! I have to say that you are a huge inspiration to me and thank you so much for what you do. Your podcasts are especially inspirational and I always look forward to them as they spur me on!

    Hey Roni!

I’m that girl who asked the question of not eating all her points, which was from…almost a year ago! And yes, eventually I learned how to eat all my points! I think at the time I was so used to being on the run and being in “starvation mode” most days, but then would have a relaxed day and be STARVING and just eat and eat and eat… I mean, how do you have problems eating all your points and still be overweight??

Anyway, I eventually did do exactly what you suggested, which was stock up on better snacks and use my points more accurately throughout the day. And in February of 2010 I became a Lifetime Member of WW having lost 21 pounds.

And yes, my career and life in NYC is strange, especially when I saw the weight loss change my career. When I said 16 pounds was goal and 21 was a dream, I wasn’t kidding. In my adult life I have never thought it was possible to be “thin”. I went from being “normal, average, curvy” to being “lean”, and now I have agents and managers who want me to be “skinny”. There’s a harsh line to walk of “If weighing 145 pounds was good for my career, then 140 would be better, and 135 would be even better than that…”

In an attempt to figure all this out, I made two big decision:
    1. I only eat real foods. Food that comes from a source and doesn’t have an ingredient list. Or if it does, then it’s a list of foods that I would keep in my kitchen. I follow the ideas of Michael Pollan pretty strictly. Except for Diet Coke. Which is a huge exception!!

    2. I am running my first marathon! I have never in my life considered myself athletic, and I always looked at working out as a means to an end, not a strength or a gift of my body. So in a week from Sunday I will be running the NYC Marathon (benefiting the charity Free Arts NYC) and I have never felt better. I made a list this New Years of all the things I thought I couldn’t do and how I could prove to myself that these are lies. And one of them is “I am not athletic”… so I decided to run a marathon. Turns out I’m pretty good at it! If I stay on pace I should finish around 4:10, but I’m just hoping to finish under 4:30:00 so that I get my name printed in the NY Times!

Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for answering my question. I hope it helps someone! I have become very passionate about food and how amazing the human body is. I cannot say enough good things about both WW and the community I follow online about body and food issues. If you’re interested, you can check out my blog (that about 4 people read) and mostly now is dedicated to thanking the people who are donating to support me in the marathon!

This is the most epic post ever. But if you’re ever in NYC let me know! We’ll have lunch and I’ll take you around the glamorous world of the NYC Theatre Scene!

Thanks for answering my question. I’m about a month behind on reading all my favorite blogs so I just seen this today (11-1-10). I love knowing that your behind on answering questions, it makes me not feel so bad for being behind on reading the answers :) Love the blog. Oh and I actually bought those same earbuds months ago and I LOVE them too!
