New Tank, New Mix, New Belly?

44 Comments 3729 views

Check out my new tank! Thanks to MizFit and Oiselle! It came in the mail yesterday. Just in time for yellow day at Little Guys school. He was ecstatic! :)

Anyway, I thought it would be a good time to talk running and update my 2010 running goals. As of now I haven’t made changes to the events I have schedule until the end of the year but at this point I’m thinking a full marathon at 5 months pregnant is out of the question. I’ve been feeling great on shorter 3-5 mile runs. Taking walk breaks and going at my own pace but anything over that just doesn’t appeal to me at the moment and I’m thinking it’s only going to get worse as the pregnancy progresses. Next Sunday I’m schedule for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Half Marathon. I’m going and I’ll see how I do before making any decisions about the rest of the year.

That being said… I did make a new running mix! After Chris’s post a few weeks ago I tried to keep BPM (beats per minute) in mind but I’m not sure how I did. I’m planning a whole BPM post soon as I figure out the best way to calculate it and put running mixes together. In the mean time you get my intuition and favorite songs. The only way I know how to put a mix together. :)

The first one on my list this week is a MUST for any running mix. Especially after you see the video…

I now start my run with it and imagine I’m in the video. Corny, I know. lol

Here’s the whole mix….

Finally.. just one question… Am I showing yet? :)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Love the yellow! Can’t wait for the BPM post, I’m so confused on that, but think it might help on my runs.

Does Vegas have a half-marathon or a 5k? You could totally do that, even if you walk half of it, and still enjoy your vacation!

No, not showing yet. Although you look like you’re trying to stick your tummy out!

With my second I showed really fast…but it was really just all the Mt. Dew and Cheetos. You don’t want to hear, “Are you sure you’re not having twins???” Anyway, Mt. Dew addiction is cured and by my third child I was so happy to not show until nearly four months. And instead of people suspecting me of having twins, they’d say, “Really, you’re that far along? Your belly doesn’t look that big!” Much better!

It’s fun to really show with being pregnant, but I hate that in-between time when nothing fits! Oh – you should look for one of those stretchy tube-type shirts they sell in pregnancy shops! You leave your regular pants unbuttoned and wear the tube shirt down over your pants. It looks like a cute undershirt under your regular shirt, and it keeps your pants in place. It sounds weird but it really works!

I think it looks great! I love that color on you Roni. And if I didn’t know you were pregnant, I wouldn’t think you are. But that’s a good thing!

If by showing you mean a fab tan, sweet pout, and slamming tank then definitely! If you mean a baby bump definitely no!

I think your face is changing a little (NOT in a bad way) but still super tight abs for sure. Soon enough:) How does it work when you have a tummy tuck and then a pregnancy,I always wondered that…too personal?

Love the pic… it’s hard to tell whether you’re giving a booboo lip, or a questioning “what do you think” look… but you look really bad-@$$ in that pic. Like… “do YOU wanna mess with ME?” lol… :-)

A marathon at 5-month’s prego? Just the thought of (me) doing that is making me exhausted. Whew! I need to sit down and take a rest… oh wait, I’m already doing that right now.
    You go girl.

    September 9, 2010

Nope, sorry I don’t think you are showing yet. But you will be soon enough. I hated that in between time when normal clothes stopped fitting and maternity clothes didn’t fit yet.

Good luck next Sunday and don’t push too hard. If I could make a suggestion, I recently read the book “Run Like a Mother” by Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea. There is a chapter in there about running while pregnant.

You’re not showing! You look great, so glowing! Congrats, I can’t wait to see you go through the whole nine months!

    September 9, 2010

You’re looking great- you definitely have the glow, if not the belly just yet! :) I think the marathon choice is good if only because it’s so hard to predict how you’ll feel then. And several hours of any cardio is a lot to ask of our bodies as far as hydration, electrolytes, etc., and can be really hard to balance on a regular day, muchless when we’re pregnant. But I think running what might end up being shorter distances while pregnant is totally great and why not race, too! It’s fun to think BOTH of you earned the medal! :)

    Showing? No. Glowing? Yes. :-)

I know I’ve asked you this before but I can’t remember if it was at your old house. Do you know the name of that wall color? I just love it!

Talysa – This one is slightly different than the one in my old house but similar. I can’t remember if it was basil, sage or artichoke! Definitely editable and definitely Duron. lol
