Inspirational Sarah and the Celebration Ride!

Can you imagine cycling 300 miles? As in THREE HUNDRED? As in pretty much the distance between D.C. and New York City! As in Sarah Stanely is INSANE! In a good way of course. ;)

If you don’t know Sarah she blogs at and is a cyclist, runner and fitness enthusiast. She’s making this 300 mile Celebration Ride to encourage children to adopt healthy eating and exercise habits.

I’ve followed Sarah on and off for awhile and have always been awed be her accomplishments. She not only runs marathons routinely but ULTRA Marathons. Those are 50 and 100 miles races. I was shocked that I was able to get my body to cover 26 miles. I can’t imagine how Sarah does it. It’s amazing what the human body is capable of doing when someone puts their mind to it.

I got a chance to meet up with Sarah 80 miles into her ride in White Marsh MD. Here we are this morning just before she headed back on the road….

She was super nice and we chatted about running and events. Speaking of, in the middle of the 300 miles ride she’ll be running the Rock N’ Roll half in Philly and she’ll be speaking at the Expo on Sunday. If you’re running the half or live in NY and want to see her finish. Let me know, I’m getting more details from her sponsor Nutrilite. In the mean time here is her schedule…

Nothing is more inspirational or motivating to me then seeing someone doing what they love. Go Sarah!

Go Sarah!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

HOLY CRAP! My friend and I were RIGHT BEHIND HER on the road on the way to Philadelphia yesterday! I tried to look up the website on my Blackberry but couldn’t see the whole thing. I gave her a thumbs up when we passed her but I don’t think she saw. Thats awesome!

Wish I was doing the Distance Run this year. Ran it the past two years and wanted to for my Triple Crown this year after doing Nashville & San Diego but RNR is pushing the price so high for a half I decided it wasn’t worth it.

Enjoy the Run Sarah and good luck with the rest of your trip.
