Thursday Thought: I’m insane…

…but I love it!

Tonight I announced the dates for the FitBloggin’11 conference. I’m excited, nervous, and overwhelmed but knowing that tomorrow is my last day at work makes it so much more….. possible!

Between that and my illness (I got really sick Tuesday and Wednesday) I don’t have much to show for this week. I did find some time to write one post for RoniNoone.com mostly out of anger because my content has been getting stolen all over the place.

On GreenLiteBites I made one little recipe and honestly, we’ve eaten out the rest of the week. I just couldn’t deal.

Saturday we leave for the Outer Banks and I haven’t even wrapped my head around it yet. I’ve never been there but I’m excited to get a few more beach days in before the end of the season. I will be “working” that week… if you consider blogging, conference planning, and writing “working”. I don’t, which is why I’m going to LOVE my new “job.” ;)

I hope you are having a wonderful week and I promise to be back on some sort of blogging schedule in September. Including weekly podcasts!!!

Oh! and I’ve been happily dealing with morning sickness. I have a follow up ultrasound scheduled on Monday the 23. Keep sending me those healthy baby vibes!! :)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Yay for morning sickness!!! I hope you puke and puke everyday for the next 3-4 months!!! You know what I mean ;-D
And don’t punish yourself for eating out this week. I mean, what a week it has been for you. It’s like, THE WEEK, you know? I’m suprised you haven’t pull out your hair! Oh wait… now it’s short so you can’t!
For the record, I also think you’re insane, but quitting one job was a very sane move, if you ask me. OK, time for Tai Chi moves! –> *sends healthy baby vibes to the north*

This is truly none of my business, but when is your due date? ( if you have an official one yet) What I mean is FitBloggin11’s date seems like it will either be at or around that time! I’m sure you’ve got lots of help and it will all work out, I just wish I had an ounce of your energy/drive. All the best with the new jobs (full time blogger/media maven & expectant mom/mom to Kindergartener!) enjoy the beach and positive thought on the next ultrasound. Oh yeah…get some rest ;)

I’m so excited it’s gonna be in Baltimore! I will be moving back to the area in a few months and hopefully by May I’ll be recovered from having a baby and be ready to participate. I’m so excited for you!!!

Some unsolicited Outer Banks advice from an addict who hasn’t been there for years:

    * take the time to visit Duck on the north end. Adorable little village. Great bookstore.
    * fly kites on Jockey’s Ridge. Kitty Hawk Kites (right avross the highway) is fun kite shopping.
    * the beaches on Hattaras Island are much more deserted than those in the Nags Head area. But if you do end up on Hatteras, there is only one grocery store, so stock up.
    * Ocracoke Island is beautiful and quaint, but the bugs can be bad. Just take bug spray. The ferry ride to the island is lots of fun.
    * The aquarium in Manteo is really neat, and the harbor there may be my favorite spot in the Outer Banks. We stayed in Manteo for our
honeymoon so it will always have a special place in m heart.

I can’t wait to see pics!

(Now I just have to talk my husband into a trip to Baltimore in May…)

Oh the Outer Banks are fantastic, you will love it. :) Have a great vacation and Yay for another FitBloggin! :)

So excited for you, Roni! I know morning sickness isn’t fabulous but it’s a great sign :)

Also, SO EXCITED that Fitbloggin will be in Baltimore again! Totally doable for me :) Can’t wait! And I won’t be such a newbie this time!

Spent a week at the OBX in July (we go every year) and stayed in Corolla (it’s either there or Duck) and had a fabulous time, just as we always do. I’m sure you will find it relaxing as well.
Hope all continues to go well.
    So….about that marathon…..?! LOL

    Hi Roni,
I tried to post this question on your “Fit Bloggin” page, but couldn’t get it to work (probably my work computer). Anyways, I had the same question as Michelle, is this event mainly for bloggers or anyone?? I actually don’t know alot about blogging, but i’m interested in learning more & I love all your sites.

What a week you’ve had! I agree with some of the other comments. I wish I had a fraction of your energy. Your attitude inspires me. So happy about the baby! How’s Ryan feel about it?

Totally off-topic but congrats on baby! I’ve been an on-again, off-again follower of your blog as I’ve been an on-again, off-again WWer over the past 3 years :) Each time I have a baby, I’m back on after – ha! Anyway, praying for you and healthy baby! I had a m/c with my second pregnancy and it made me *slightly* paranoid during my pregnancy with my son… but it also taught me I was the only one who would be an advocate for myself and my babies the next times around so trust yourself and enjoy the ride!
