Sorry for my absence. I’m sick. I mean really sick. High fever, cough, sore throat, chills, my nose even spontaneously started bleeding tonight. It totally freaked me out.

I’m not going to lie. I’m worried. Worried about the baby. Worried about not being to finish up projects at work before Friday. Worried that I didn’t post yesterday. Worried that my crazy schedule and lack of sleep has finally caught up with me.

BAH!

I’m done worrying. As a wise friend of mine once told me…

“Worrying is praying for what you don’t want to have happen”

Off to bed. Tomorrow will be better.

  3. Hoping you get well quickly.

  4. I hope that you are resting. Focus on getting better, that is top priority. Hugs!

  5. Reinaldo says:

Relax! It’s just bronchitis. Even with a fever, your body can manage to homeostasis just fine. After all, our bodies had been perfected for thousands and thousands of years!
You probably burst a small vessel in your nose. No biggie. Remember: you’re not in the island of Lost and the sky hasn’t lighted up and you’re not travelling through time!! I just had to make a Lostie reference =D

  6. Krista S. says:

Feel better soon! Lots of ♥ to you.

  7. Laura says:

sending you hugs….feel better soon Roni!

  8. Saying a little prayer that you can sleep peacefully tonight and wake up feeling better tomorrow.

  9. Tiger G says:

Worrying will only make things worse. I found out I was 4 days pregnant because I had a tick bite and got lyme disease and they randomly ran a preggo test. I understand worrying about the baby and all that, but the stress is sooo much worse on your immune system than anything. Just let it be. It will be anyways.

  10. Shauna says:

WOW, i am a pretty faithful follower of all things “Roni” and this is the first time I have seen anything about you being pregnant? Congratulations! That is wonderful news. And I hope you feel better soon… and get some worry-free rest. :)

  11. Hope you feel better soon. Hopefully nothing was going around BlogHer. I started feeling really sick today and spent most of the day sleeping.

  12. Hey Roni, I haven’t commented since reading your exciting news so firstly congrats!
I completely understand you being worried about the baby – especially after what you have already been through – I was the same. But worrying won’t help the little one. Just rest, recover and gain your strength back. Hope you feel better soon xx

  13. shauna says:

Take care Roni…. thinking of you xx

  14. Skinny Sushi says:

RELAX!!! Sleep, rest, medicate, do whatever you need to to get yourself healthy. It is the ONLY thing that matters. Work, blogs… nothing else makes a difference and will all sort itself out as long as you and that baby are healthy.

Can we help somehow? I bet people would be willing to guest post for a few days…

  15. Rfdmary says:

Did I miss something? Are you expecting a baby?

  16. Rest, rest, rest my friend. Everything else is second right now and it will all be fine and ok to get your attention when you’re feeling better.

    All the best!

  17. I hope you feel better soon:)

  18. Christine says:

Our bodies are amazing… even will illness and stress your body will do everything it can to protect that little growing bean sprout. (probably why your immunity has been down and you got sick in the first place!). I can only imagine how scary this is for you though–hang in there!

  19. Kate says:

Taking care of yourself is priority numero uno! I hope you feel better soon.

  20. Patty says:

As everyone has been saying, Focus on getting well, relax and put yourself and your baby first. Realize that even though you are a super person, you’re not “super-human” and sometimes things have to be put on hold. If you don’t post for a day or two your readers will understand. We’re all pulling for you!

  21. Laurie says:

It’s a new day! Hope you are feeling better.

Another saying I’ve heard that I like is:
Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles. It empties today of its strength.

Feel better, Roni! And congratulations on the pregnancy!!!

  31. roni says:

not that I know of! Why do you ask?!?

  32. caronae says:

Relax. :) Do some nice things for yourself today. When things seem to be the worst, they somehow have a miraculous way of working themselves out. I’m rootin’ for ya!

  33. Kate says:

Congrats, Roni!! And don’t worry about being so sick right now (at least try not to!) I get horribly sick the week I found out I was pregnant too, and my daughter is a happy almost 5 year old now :)

Hugs to you and lots of luck in the next 9 months!

  34. marilia says:

Get well, go to the doctor, sleep, perhaps dream. Wait. Eat wisely. You know..take care of yourself. Hopefully everything will be fine. Best, M.

  35. WOrrying just increases stress and that is not good for sickness or baby. Relax! Breathe! and enjoy!

  36. Breathe. It will all work itself out, it always does. Stop stressing and just realize you’re doing everything you can do at the time. Get some rest, you’re in my thoughts!

  37. jess says:

actually, a wise friend just told ME that prayer and anxiety cannot occupy the same space. that’s the great thing about prayer. it can cancel worry out!

  38. Anne says:

What? I missed the baby news!! Congratulations! I’m trying to find it in past posts…but can’t. When are you due? I hope you’re feeling better….
