Little Bean Has a Heartbeat!

Little Bean Had Heartbeat!

I had a WONDERFUL day! It was my first official day home since leaving my job. Me and Little Guy had so much fun hanging out. I played. I cooked. I cleaned. I worked. And it all started after an early morning trip to the Radiology department.

In case you missed my Blissful news from BlogHer, I had a positive pregnancy test. I decided to share the news as I’m horribly stressed when trying to keep a secret. Especially THIS secret. So I spilled the beans. Then I got sick, REAL sick and given my history the doctor thought it was best I go for an early ultrasound.

Well I’m happy to say…. I heard and SAW a strong heartbeat on the little bean!! So I guess it’s a official! I mean.. you never know what will happen but I’m embracing this and it’s something I’m extremely happy about. EXTREMELY!

Now.. you may be asking about that teeny tiny race I signed up for in December. You know, the MARATHON. At this point I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing. That may change after I talk to my doctor on Wednesday but either way I’m definitely going to vegas. I’ve already booked my flight and hotel. The way I see it.. I can always walk it. There are just too many amazing bloggers going to miss out. Plus.. it’s Vegas! VEGAS! Only my second favorite city ever! :)

Anyway today really was a great day. Besides the wonderful news, I made a family pleasing dinner, Dry Rubbed Pan-Fried London Broil and then Little Guy and I decorated the driveway. So much more fun then just watching tv. :)

Soooo happy for your excitement!! And I really want to do that race in Las Vegas too! BUT…I’m training with Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the Miami marathon in January, so I should wait for that. :) Maybe next year I can do that Vegas one. I love Vegas too.

Woo hoo!!! Congrats on the heartbeat! :-)

As for Vegas, I’ve heard there are so many people that register, I wonder that anyone could do it faster than a walk.

Every time I saw an update from you in my RSS I was desperate to see if you had any news… I’m so happy for you. I’ll continue to keep you and the little bean (and the whole crew of course) in my thoughts and keep sending you good vibes/prayers/etc.

I read this amazing article about a top marathoner who raced pregnant, twice… It’d be pretty cool to do, just saying!

Roni – I am so happy for you. I had three miscarriages in one year, so to hear that little heartbeat means the world. My doctor also told me that once you hear or see the heartbeat the chances of miscarriages are like 6%. YAY YAY and SUPER YAY!!! Congrats sistafriend!

Congrats Roni!! There’s NOTHING better than hearing your babys heartbeat. When I got pregnant after my miscarriage I nearly puked when I had my first ultrasound I was so scared. I didn’t tell anyone I was pregnant till I was 20 weeks “just in case”. spread the word, enjoy it!! I feel like I missed out by keeping quiet! my little man is 7 months now, my little miracle : )

I’m so happy for you and your family!

Being excited about Little Bean is SO the way to go. Of course you never know what might happen, but in the end letting yourself be excited and embrace the beautiful possibilities can only help. I am thrilled for you and I can’t wait to see the next adorable, fuzzy ultrasound picture.

very exciting! I did the las vegas 1/2 last year – you can switch from the full to the half (or vice versa) at the expo. You can also drop down to the half (which stays on the strip) during the race around mile 10….you just don’t turn right, stay straight 3 miles and finish. Very fun course!

Roni!! Congratulations!! I’m also 6 weeks pregnant! I’m a longtime reader (and former Baltimorean) and am so excited to see a great example of a fit momma keeping in shape through her pregnancy. An awesome example for everyone (including me!).
