We are Vacation Animals!

I’m gonna make this quick… REAL quick cause frankly… I’m EXHAUSTED! What am AMAZING day!

It all started with a short run. I’m set a goal of 4 runs this vacation. Today was my first and I’m hopping to get out again tomorrow and go a little longer. Here’s a shot from my iPod. I don’t have the little chart thing as my internet is wacky. I write these offline and then have to upload from the husband’s laptop. It’s a long story. Anyway.. here’s the run…

Notice the time. Even by then it was SO humid I was a big sweat ball before I even started. In a weird way the change in climate was refreshing, even though it was oppressive.

After the run we all got ready and headed to Animal Kingdom for the day. We skipped breakfast. Non of us were hungry after our feast last night. So little guy and I just split an apple walking around the park.

For lunch we ate at the Yeti Something in Animal Kingdom (note my piss poor memory. Pair that with lack if internet and I’m pretty much useless in the ‘facts" department.)

I ordered a seafood curry that was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Didn’t I use that expression yesterday? Regardless… it was that good…

Basically it was a bowl of jasmine rice with shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and veggies in a coconut curry creamy sauce. I focused in on the veggies and seafood and leaving about half the rice.

Why? Because I knew we were going to get this…

I ate most of the ice cream with a few bites of the cake. I’m happy to say yet again we didn’t finish it. Leaving food on the table has been very liberating these last few days.

After lunch we walked and walked and walked and walked. We had to hit every area of the park so Little Guy could get all his stamps. Which I’m happy to say he did! Here’s the proof!

Once we got back from the park we immediately hit the pool for a dip. Then it was snacks and showers. I found this little gem at the gift shop…

For dinner we walked down to the Riverside resort and I ordered a make your pasta dish with pesto, penne, shrimp and every veggie they had in the house. It was DELICIOUS! Like all the food we’ve gotten so far.

An again… I left some…

But I did have a few bites of the husband’s brownie. ;)

After dinner we hit the arcade before turning in for the night. This is one of my favorite shots of the day….

Along with these….

And my favorite classic pouty Disney shot (and the only one with me in it for the day)

Ok.. I’m off to bed! Need SLEEP! :)

You look so cute! I haven’t been here for while so I just saw the new haircut. Very cute and you look great overall. Are you training for a race?

You look like you are having a blast! SO much fun.

I thought of you and your leaving food behind as I ate out dinner yesterday and lunch today for work. I left a little each time and felt great. I enjoyed the food but wasn’t stuffed just because we had paid for it.

That tiger looks a little worse for wear, that drab environment. Compared to Tiger Island at Dreamworld here in Australia, I feel kinda sorry for it.

I live in FL and if I didn’t run when it was humid, I’d *never* run. During the summer, I try to go out just a little earlier (5:30), still muggy, but a little more manageable! Nobody wants to do 5:30 on vacation, though…

Running on vacation? You rock! The last thing I want to do on vacation is extra exercise.

A beautiful photo of you and the hubby!
