Tomorrow is packing day and then Saturday we are going all Griswold and hitting the road to Disney! I’m super duper psyched! But I couldn’t leave without emptying my head of these thoughts! Please excuse my shortness… I’m falling asleep at the wheel tonight.

As for updates from me…

  • I got a chance to post a wonderful guest article on FitBloggin, Using Blogging to Repair A Damaged Body Image. Don’t forget I’m accepting guest posts all the time. Just let me know if you have an idea!
  • On GreenLiteBites I only had time to post 1 idea, Vidalia Roasted Radishes. Little guy and I made a Mango Berry smoothie but I’m just to tired to get it up there. :(
  • On SkinnyMinnyMedia I posted a video about what motivates us to work, or at least what motivates me to work. It was a very timely find considering my recent career decisions.
  • On Blog To Lose I posted a new challenging challenge. One week of food journaling! and YES I plan on completing this challenge while in Disney. My goal is to post daily updates of my food adventures during the road trip and at the parks. I’m actually looking forward to it. Actually I think I’m just looking forward to break in the daily grind routine. I’m SO happy I’m going to be spending the next 10 days just with my family. Just thinking about it makes me smile.

So that’s it for this week. I’m trying to prep that second Ask Roni video I recorded a few weeks back before I go but I’m not making any promises. I will be posting updates while traveling on Twitter and my FaceBook Page, not to mention my food journal account. I hope to start posting daily food journal here on the blog with a few pics starting Monday, once we actually arrive at Disney.

Ok, got to go get some sleep. I have a big day tomorrow getting ready for the trip. I’ll be picking up supplies, getting the family mobile’s oil changed, taking my other poor car to the body shop oh! AND I’m getting my hair colored. Thankfully I have a furlough day to run all these errands. ;)

I totally cracked up at “Griswold”…that is exactly how my family rolls, too! I hope you have a great trip! And I’m so stoked to use the cool spinach tip….glad you liked it, too. Heather is a genius!

Have fun at Disney World! My husband and I spent a week there the first week of May. It was hot! But the rides were fun. Be sure to do Toy Story at Hollywood (go get a fast pass first thing) and the Gliding one at Epcot (you’ll probably need a fast pass there, too). So fun!

Roni, Make sure you do Philharmagic in the Magic Kingdom. It is in the same area as Dumbo and Its a small World. It is a 3 d mickey movie that is so awesome. When things happen in the movie, like the scene from Beauty and the Beast “Be our Guest” (with all the food) you actually smell the bluberries. And when its windy in the movie you actually feel the wind. My kids love it so much, even now and they are 10, 15 and 18 years old!! I know Ryan would love it. Have fun!!

  4. Roni, I am so jealous! We’ve been to Disney the past three years and are secretly planning another trip for the end of the year. I’d love to see your food journals because, I have to say, that there is no Weight Watchers for me in Disneyworld. I always have good intentions but they fly right out the window as soon as I see Cinderella’s castle. The good news is, with all that walking, I barely had a gain each time. So have fun and shoot us some twitpics! And give Mickey a hug for me!

Have a great vacation Roni! I’ve never gotten my kids to disney, they’re going on 11, 9, and 5. I so wish we could take a trip like that. Also I’m surprisied you just found Leading the Weigh, I’ve been reading Heather’s blog as long as yours, I can’t believe it’s years now! Have a great Holiday!

  6. Love the Fatorexia link! I’m such a perfect example. I look in the mirror and still see my 113 lb self instead of the woman who is 60 lbs heavier. If you ever get the time (ha!), you should read Such a Pretty Fat by Jen Lancaster.

Have a great time in Disney! I’m heading over to check out the blogs you mentioned.

Jen – I actually met her 2 years ago at a conference. She was the keynote. Love her books!
