One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Weekend Quote: Happiness

9 Comments 1419 views

This quote needs no introduction, it’s that good. I saw it on MommaTwana’s blog.

Being Happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means you’ve DECIDED to look beyond the imperfections.

My addition was the caps on DECIDED. Sometimes I think we forget that we have that choice. :)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I love this quote – sometimes I need to remind myself to look past the little things and be grateful & happy for all the big things! Have a great weekend, Roni!

Thank you for sharing this quote and the reminder. It is great for me because I am a perfectionist who is trying to learn to let go of that sometimes.

Wow. I’ve really been struggling this week and I think I really needed to read that.

Great quote — if waited until everything was perfect to be happy — well, we would be waiting a long time!

Love the action part of that! It’s a conscious decision, not fate or inaction.

We are also going to have a Happy Quote of the Day (delivered by email to users also – for free) at our new website on How to be Happier,

    Thanks again! ruHap

Roni you are SO right. My weight loss has crawled to a snail’s pace even though I am doing everything “right,” but I am HAPPY! Happy even with the body I have right now, AS I am working to make it better.

Life isn’t always the way we would make it if we could control every brushstroke, but the painting is still amazing and beautiful, even with its imperfections.
