It’s a Snowpocalypse!
February 6, 2010
We are snowed in and it’s been awesome! I’ll post more later but I wanted to share some panoramic photos I experimented with. These were taken during and after the shoveling process which is FAR from over and the snow IS STILL FALLING!!

Considering I live around town from you, I’m totally snowed in too! We haven’t measured since 9AM, but then it was 22″. ACK!

Yep, we’re snowed in too here in Pittsburgh! Probably a foot or two. We’ve shoveled out our cars but really can’t go anywhere because they’ve declared a state of emergency. I was initially worried because we were without power for several hours, and it’s no fun to be snowed in with no power and it’s cold! But it came back on recently and now I’m on cloud 9 because I have all this time to get stuff done.

We’re in Alexandria, VA and completely snowed in. :) About a foot and a half for us right now and more is coming down.
We went for a walk in Old Town and there were actually quite a few people out and about. With the snow being so deep, we walked in the street because there were hardly any cars around. Still, it was quite a workout…about a 2 mile walk. Sipping hot cocoa now and staying cozy.
Stay warm!

I am in Frederick, MD and snowed in as well. We have somewhere around 30 inches of snow according to some weather reports, but my measurement in my backyard is closer to 36 inches.

Wow, the snow is beautiful! I bet Ryan is having a blast in it. I hate to be the only a-hole in the bunch, but it’s sunny and 57 here in Seattle so we’ll be grilling for dinner. =)

We are snowed in too, 22 inches. But our snow stopped around 1:30 this afternoon. Jon went out to shovel in a t-shirt since he had to shovel two cars out in the apartment parking lot. Mine was in a corner so it had 2x the ammount of snow surrounding it because of the plows :( So he knew he would be working really hard.
When he came in he said everyone was fighting and arguing over shovels, either trying to borrow one or get their shovel back. Someone asked him to borrow our shovel and he flat out said “No, I don’t need any drama over shovels, thanks.”

Over here in Bel Air we have a good 23 inches. My husband is shoveling in stages while I tackle the kids. I made a yummy pot of stew yesterday and a chocolate banana cake that is low fat and calories. I needed to use up bananas and this turned out to be a great way to do it.
