Living in Canada, I learn how to run in snow at the beginning of every winter. Even a brisk walk in the snow gets my heart rate up. I love it! Don’t let snow keep you inside, get out and play!
here in WV I have been running in the snow (once the sidwalk has been cleared or in the street) and it is a bit dangerous! Very icy out this week. My run turned in to more of a safety shuffle back to the house. Oh and in case you didn’t know, riding your bike in this weather is also not a great idea. I also figured that out this week.
ok, i have to admit the snow is beautiful, but here in pa, we are overloaded with it and quite frankly, it can’t go away soon enough for me. come on spring!!!
I also live in Pa…where we have gotten lots of snow…I am a die hard runner, so I hop in my car and drive to the closest neighborhood, to get my run in…can’t miss even a day for my mental health this time of the year… I have also just run on top of the snow and for me it’s really about getting out and moving…even if I am moving slower.
I know people are sick of winter. But come on! The snow won’t be here that long and there are more months without snow than there is with it. I’m an outdoorsy person year-round. Have you ever tried snowshoeing? It’s awesome, fun and a great workout.

You need to move to the neighborhood my dad lived in growing up (Schoharie, NY)! Not sure if it is still this way, but when he was a kid, the snow had to be cleared from the sidewalks by 9 AM otherwise you would get a fine! Our neighborhood in Loveland, CO also had that rule, but I think the time was noon and I don’t think that it was enforced.

aww, kitty! me too, on the running. :)
Poor baby! I have a cat who (I’m pretty sure) blames me every time it snows.
That is such an adorable picture!!! I’m happy to report that Montreal FINALLY got lots of snow :-)

Wish harder, Kitty! You can do it!
Seriously, the snow needs to go away, like 10 minutes ago.

Erika – I always wanted to try snowboarding! I think I would suck but it would still be fun!
I just wish my darn community would make an effort on clearing sidewalks. It’s too dangerous by me to run. :( That’s what I miss.
