Roni on the (Blog)Radio!
January 4, 2010

Some real quick updates tonight as I have a date with the hubby. We start that puzzle and are going to play a little Wii. We’re trying to DO more things in the New year. :)
First, some how, and I really don’t know how, I got booked on two different Blog Radio shows tomorrow (1/5).
Radio show #1
At 10AM EST I’ll be on "GET REAL" talking about Fad Diets and Why they Don’t Work with by Brett Blumenthal
Click here to check it out.
Radio Show #2
At 3PM EST I’ll be chatting with Laura Lavigne Her show is called "Chez Laura" – Let’s talk about losing weight AND becoming a blogging phenomenon!"
Laura saw my story on CNN and asked to interview me on her show. It sounded so fun how can I refuse? :) Click here to check it out.
I like to talk almost as much as I like to blog so this is going to be super fun for me. :)
Other then the shows, I just wanted to tell you how much better I’m feeling. Getting things out of my head and onto the blog is my form of therapy. It ALWAYS makes me feel better. I think it’s a combination of getting it off my chest and then reading the comments and realizing I’m not alone. That’s why I started BlogToLose. Blogging is/was a big piece of the puzzle for me.
Here’s the menu today. . . I’m so glad I cooked over the holidays. I have SO many leftovers for lunch. It’s FABULOUS! :)

I love the idea of doing a puzzle together. My husband & I are also trying to do more together this year, and have a hike planned for Wednesday!

I’m so glad your feeling better! Your such an inspiration to me and I look forward to reading your site everyday! We have survived the holidays. Back to all our healthy cooking. By the way, peanut butter vitamuffins are AWESOME! Banana flavor is good too, but try the peanut butter if you haven’t yet. Hope you had fun with the hubby!

date night is a great idea; that’s something we need to do more often at my house. currently i’m still hanging on through the holidays, we have one more this coming weekend! i’m afraid the one this past weekend was part of several days of not-so-great food decisions but that’s ok, i’m back on the horse :) thanks for stopping by my blog!

Hunni and are trying to play the Wii together more now. We have games we both like so this should be fun.
I’m going to try and check out those two programs. I would love to hear what you have to say.

Your Salmon Parm looks good. I will have to try that on Friday possibly. The boyfriend it out of town. He does not like salmon or spaghetti squash!

Can’t wait to listen! I noticed you ate some soy crisps. I was at Trader Joe’s a couple days ago and couldn’t find the soy crisps. I asked a cashier, and he said they discontinued them due to low sales. Boo! Where do you find yours?

NOOOOO I hope that doesn’t mean more will close up shop. There’s a local store by me called Giant that makes their own called “Earths Promise” I believe. That was the brand I ate last night. But I know Glenny’s also has some.

Great job on the radio today! I really liked what you said about making small, gradual changes and not letting one bad food choice destroy your day. I’m all for dedicated commitment to a “plan”, but not budgeting for wiggle room only ends in disaster. I like to plan my menus like I do our household budget: all of the “money” (food) is spent on paper before it’s used… I even budget for splurges. That way I can have the cookie without it ruining my day.
Good luck with the puzzle!

Congrats on the shows!!!
I also find that cooking makes me feel better. Or no, wait. I think it’s baking that makes me feel better. Even when I don’t eat the treats. Well, especially when I can say “no” to the treats.

Oh, no! I hope my favorite soy crisps don’t disappear …
I need to concentrate on not letting one bad food choice destroy the day. Even after all these years, i still struggle with that. I think it’s why I have such a tough time staying OP when I’m with the Boyfriend.
