First Run of 2010!
Chart taken from Nike+ website after sync. Click here to see how I did it.

Look at that! The Nike+ returns! I got a replacement for Christmas and I broke it in today on the 5K resolution run in Baltimore.

It was seriously my first real run in months. Since the marathon I haven’t had any desire to get out there like I was. I have to admit, It was tough, I felt out of breath, out of shape and now I’m SORE! In a good way. :)

Besides the run I had some serious family time this morning. The little guy and I wrestled, made breakfast and invented a few new family games. The husband had breakfast with us and we all headed out to run a few errands before the race.

After the 5k we made a good dinner and then the husband and I paid all the end of year bills, getting our finances in order.

It was a good, productive, fun day. The best kind.

Right now I’m exhausted and I need to take a shower before bed. So I’ll be cutting this short. I’ll leave you with my menu. I’m making an effort to get back to basics. I was considering counting points again but I want to trust myself and follow my instincts. My mantra this week is to eat when hungry and make good choices. It should be that easy, right? :)

Food Units
1 egg 2 egg white omelet loaded with extra veggies and a bit of bacon bite. that’s how i start the new year! :)

Congrats on getting a run in on the first day! Today was a DOR for me but I’m going to get out there tomorrow! I loved my Nike+ but after I used it in a race and noticed how horribly off it was, I stopped using it.
My fave toy is my Garmin 305.
    Have a great sleep!

Good work on the first run of the year! I got a Nike+ for Christmas (from hubby) and I’m looking forward to using it. I had ITB/knee problems for about 6 months last year so I need to take it slowly.

I’m going back to basics with my eating too, I’ve gotten a bit off track!

  12. Wow I need to get one of those Nike+ things. Looks way cool. Way to get back into it! It’s tough I know. I run for 10 out of the 20 mins on the treadmill and I’m hating life. But afterwards, it feels so good!
