Jell-O Dark Chocolate Decadence Mousse Temptations

It’s been forever since I’ve done a good old fashion Food Find. Now that I’m getting comfortable in my new home I feel I can spend a little more time grocery shopping and stocking (I’m very much a buy in bulk stock-er type of shopper so the whole temporary living situation for that last 2 months really crimped my style).
Just in case you were wondering, Food Finds are products that just happen to catch my attention while shopping. They aren’t paid reviews (which I don’t do) or products that companies send me to try. I post them as Product Reviews. It’s been so long I thought I’d take a minute to clarify.
Anyway.. let me get to this 1 point chocolate cup from heaven!
Can you tell I liked it? It was the perfect ending to my lunch today. I packed some leftover Dried Herb and Yogurt Marinated Pork…
…and one of these cups. It was perfect, like my own little TV dinner. I love the idea of having a sweet bite after a savory meal. And it’s even better if the sweet bite is only 60 calories!
The texture was super light and airy. To be honest I’m not sure what traditional mousse is "suppose" to taste like but I don’t care. This totally hit the spot for me and was a nice change from original sugar free pudding cups.
There are two other flavors, Caramel Crème and Chocolate Indulgence. Has anyone else tried them?
Oh! and I can’t find them on the official jell-o site so I’m guessing they are pretty new.

I've recently discovered the amazing combination of cheese and dried cherries. I know, it sounds weird, but seriously… good! The other day I smeared some Laughing Cow Light Swiss on Cucumber slices and then topped with a cherry. It was a fun, sweet twist on standard cheese and crackers. Well, cheese [...] -
If I was a good blogger this idea would have been published BEFORE the Super Bowl not during it. I made these today to have a little fun. Surprisingly, The Husband liked them even though he didn't eat more than one. Why? Because he's strange like [...] -
If you read my weight loss blog you know I'm battling a bit of back and neck pain right now. I'm starting to feel a little better but those first few days where rough. Being the head chef of the household, this meant we ordered in a couple of times. I'm [...] -
I'm LOVING Pinterest! I can just scroll all day long looking at food photo after food photo. I wish I had more time to peruse! (I'm RoniNoone there by the way?) The other day I pinned a Portabello Mushroom pizza and was immediately inspired. It's such a simple idea and so light. [...] -
The other day I found myself craving an Orange Julius. Are they as popular as I think they are? Growing up we had an Orange Julius at our local mall. It was always a treat for us at the end of a family shopping trip. Once I was old enough to be [...] -
So I'm a little breakfast nutty at the moment. Little Bean LOVES eggs and I find myself cooking them more and more. This morning I decided to go super light (after last nights chocolate overload) and it was totally satisfying for just over 100 calories! The trick to making [...] -
A few weeks ago I saw Chef Michael Simon make a raw kale salad on The Chew. He sliced beets up real thin and cut the kale into ribbons. Then made a vinaigrette out of red wine vinegar and olive oil. I was immediately intrigued. So far I've only [...] -
I've had this idea for a quick creamy chicken dish for a few days now. It was time to give it a shot. The whole family LOVED it. I'm not joking. The only complaint came from Little Guy who declared his hate of mushrooms yet again BUT he ate everything around them. Fine [...] -
I made this on a total whim yesterday as I had leftover avocado after feeding the baby and leftover Spaghetti squash cooked from the weekend. I roasted the squash to serve with my Chicken tips instead of potatoes and it was AMAZING! Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked. So I'm sitting there staring [...] -
It's post holiday season. You know what that means? Leftover Crescent rolls to experiment with! Every year for Thanksgiving I buy a few canisters. It's the only time I do as I can't be trusted around them. Let's just say I'd beat you in the How-Many-Crescent-Rolls-Can-You-Eat-In-One-Sitting game and leave [...] -
Last week the kids and I tried parsnips for the first time and I've made them 3 times since. I wanted to figure out the best way to roast them. Yeah, that's it, the best way to roast them. You'll buy that right? Right? The truth is, I'm obsessed. I found myself [...] -
Yesterday just felt like a good day to stuff an acorn squash. I had one sitting on my counter for quite some time and it was just begging to be cooked. Since both husband and child don't like it I made a solo meal just for me and, well, it was DELICIOUS! [...] -
I bought a fennel bulb on a whim for the holidays not knowing quite what I would do with it. Of course I forgot about until yesterday when I was rummaging through the fridge trying to figure out what I wanted to make for breakfast. I pulled it out and stared [...] -
I probably should have warned you I was taking a holiday hiatus. I've been soaking up every moment of family time imaginable these last few days, leaving no time for anything else. Not even blogging! Shocking I know. ;) So I return not with a new recipe, per se, but to [...] -
Here's a quick idea for when you find yourself with a spaghetti squash but don't quite know what to do with it. Come on. Admit it. That's happened to you too. It's sure happened to me! I roasted this squash on Sunday... [...] -
I'm not sure if this will be a crowd pleaser, but I liked it and thought I'd share in hopes it inspires you to have some fun with kale. I loved the combination of sweet pear, earthy kale, salty bacon bits and creamy hummus. The only issue with the wrap was [...] -
I'm going on day 2 of counting Weight Watcher Points and I'm already inspired to come up with light, healthy meals for myself. It's like I needed the constraint of points to motivate me. Isn't that weird? Anyway, all morning I was brainstorming what to make for lunch. I wanted something flavorful [...] -
I have a friend who patiently cleaned, peeled and cubed a fresh pumpkin and then selflessly gave me some. Scratch that, a TON! I would have never even thought of doing something like that! But now that I have it in my fridge the ideas are flowing. First, I roasted some [...] -
CHRISTMAS COOKIES! YAY! Sorry. I'm so excited! Little Guy and I had tons of fun making and decorating cookies today. It may just be my favorite part of the holiday season. I loved it when I was a kid and now I get to do it with my own kids. [...] -
This may be my simplest idea yet, but it was so tasty and satisfying I had to share. Plus you guys know I'm a Laughing Cow Community Leader so I'm all about sharing fun ways to use their products. You guys may also know how I feel about pausing and making [...] -
I made this on Thursday. THURSDAY! I hate when I can't post something I've eaten within 24 hours. It just bugs me. Not sure why, it really doesn't matter when I post it, does it? Anyway, I did whip this up to cure a pizza craving and I couldn't be happier. [...] -
It's been awhile since I jazzed up a tilapia fillet. I've breaded them before, coated them in oats, flavored them like one of my favorite drinks and topped them with a fun salsa. It was time to bring nuts into the party. You are going to think I'm crazy but I've [...] -
Fun leftover turkey idea #2! Click here for leftover turkey idea #1. I had a little Gouda leftover from this years Harvest Salad and decided to put all the same flavors from the salad into a quesadilla. I just can't get enough of the smokey gouda/sweet craisin combo. It goes [...] -
It's the day after Thanksgiving and my refrigerator ROCKS! I have leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted Brussels Sprouts, a bunch of veggies and tons of miscellaneous fun stuff. I've already made stock from the bones (like this) and my first batch of soup, Classic Turkey Noodle. I hope to share [...] -
I'm so sorry I've been slacking in the Thanksgiving recipe department. I feel like a bad food blogger. Everyone else is posting festive ideas and here I've gone missing for a few days. Maybe it's because I'm not doing anything special for Turkey day. I finally got my holiday cooking [...]

As far as I know they pretty much JUST came out, and I have yet to see them in any of my stores! But I really wanna try them, so I’m keeping my eye out.
I’ve tried them! I liked them well enough but low cal chocolate stuff always tastes salty to me for some reason. I liked the Yoplait Delights Lemon Torte parfait (new item as well) better. I think that’s what they were called anyway. It tasted like lemon icebox pie to me!
Glad you enjoyed a new food find!
I’ve tried them, and they’re very good. They don’t even taste “low calorie.” I couldn’t find the dark chocolate flavor so I settled for the chocolate indulgence.
Looking forward to trying them but I am even more so looking forward to trying that lunch of yours! I am off to GLB to find it.
I saw an ad for these and they looked delish. Glad to hear they are. I will have to pick some up next trip to the grocery store.
I’ve tried the Caramel Creme flavor- LOVED it! I couldn’t believe how good it was for 60 calories!
Roni,
What kind of to-go containers are those?
So funny. I’ve gotten more questions on that that anything. lol
They are recycled “to go” containers from a local restaurant. I get them from a Japanese place and an Italian place up the street. The quality is so good! I just run them through my dishwasher and reuse until they get so deformed the tops won’t go on any longer.
Ohhh – they had these at BlogHERFood09 and they sounded awesome. I definitely need to check them out now. Thanks Roni!
Thanks for this food find, Roni! I’ll be on the lookout for them!
Just found your blog in my google search ” my first half marathon.” I am running my first half this coming Sunday and I have been so nervous. Reading your story and hearing your time of 2:07 is so encouraging. Congrats and I have enjoyed reading your blog!
I have read about these and had an eye out for them, but :( haven’t found them yet.
Now I really really want them!!
OH MY!! I’ve tried the Chocolate Indulgence! Oh wow! They are fantastic! I don’t know what “real mousse” texture is supposed to be like either, but if you have a chocolate craving, these hit the spot! Last night I had one with a dollop of FF cool whip on top, and it was like the most decadent desert! Great food find for sure!!
I had the dark chocolate one today..omg so good.
I am going to look for those on my next shopping trip. I have already put them on the list….I love chocolate mousse…mmmmmmmm….
Thank you Roni for trying all of this stuff and then taking the time to tell us about it =)
I wish I liked sugar free stuff! I love mousse.
LOVE these, I’ve tried the dark and the caramel creme-which tastes a lot like dulce de leche, the reason I gained like 15 lbs living in Buenos Aires in ’99 ;)
I think they’re even better frozen…they stay smooth just like ice cream.
lainb – TOTALLY! Thanks for the idea!!
I just had the Dark Chocolate and it is so good. Can’t wait to try the other 2 flavors.
Found the Sugar Free Chocolate Mousse about a week ago at Pak ‘n Save (owned by Safeway). It is in the same size container as the S/F puddings, has the same caloric (60 cal) and Protein (1g) content, but is lighter in weight and has a higher fat content. It is really awesome. I think I’ll stick with that instead of the puddings from now on. Perfectly rich and light at the same time….doesn’t lose any flavor from the non-sugar free types. It will be a big hit once it hits all of the stores……
Do any of you remember Jello’s Whip ‘n Chill? These new mousse flavers are just like Whip ‘n Chill. Wonderful and only 60 calories. Love that!!!!!
Just so you know, Jello has a $1.25 coupon for the Mousse right now on their site. I am going to try it for the first time. My taste buds can’t wait !!! You will find it at KraftFirstTaste.com Enjoy
Just so we’re clear, this is a sugar free dessert, and although one cup is only 60 calories for just over 2 ounces which is reasonable, half of the calories are from fat. That said, when I ran out of my first 3 packages I had to run all over town for a week to find a Safeway that had more of them. They only had 2 chocolate mousses left and about 8 of the creme caramels. I took 2 of the mousses and 6 of the caramels in case any of you are from Oakland and were wondering why there were only 2 of the creme caramels left :-)
Seriously, Lucky had not even heard of them nor received any of them, and the Safeways said that they were hard to get. I guess they are revving up production slowly and taking a while to get used to the demand. Clearly Jello has a major hit on its hands! I usually have one of these a day. Every few days I might pull out one of the regular Jello S/F puddings just as contract, but as a favorite for me the chocolate mousse wins hands-down.
oops, that should “contrast”, not “contract” in the last sentence :0
i have had both the caramel cream and the dark chocolate mousse … they are out of this world … very delish!!!
Found these in the dairy section of Walmart — all flavors. Loved them!
I was really hoping to love this item, but I guess I’m the only person who cannot stand anything about this product! I’ll stick with the puddings and the new Yoplait parfaits!
Michelle – lol I did go back to the pudding cups but I do like these as a variation. If you have more try freezing them!
jello mousse is incredible.
OMG, I tried the chocolate indulgence and it’s amazing! I have a very sweet tooth and I’m always watching my weight because I tend to gain weight easily so this is a great find. I can’t wait to buy the dark chocolate version since that’s my favorite chocolate! Great product by Jello, congrats! The marketing def worked bc the moment I saw the tv ad I looked for it in the grocery aisle!
love the mousse temptations. there out of this world. could you please send coupons. there hard to get. thank you .
I go crazy for the Lemon Merangue(sp?) Temptations. YUM! 100 calories tho’, however; better than the old standby ice cream or candy bar.
