How many of you are there?

Date June 22, 2009

Geesh! Give away a few books and everybody comes out of the wood work! 169 people have commented on my Weekend Update post so far. I think that’s a record. Honestly, I never really think about how many people read my blog until something like that happens. I mean, I know my stats from Analytics but I try not to focus on the numbers cause if I do… it totally freaks me out!

Anyway… *not trying to think about it… not trying to think about* today was a busy day. The little guy and I started out trying some new fruit (twice-long story)! Then he went off to "camp" and I packed ALL day jamming out to some music. The kitchen cupboards are almost bare. My winter clothes are boxed. Every book I own (that I’m keeping) is packed up and my living room is starting to look like a storage locker. I’m trucking along and making some progress although on the surface it doesn’t look like it.

This afternoon, the little guy and I hit our favorite candy store and split some chocolates. Then we came home, watched The Little Mermaid and I made up a new dish, One Pot Chicken with Mango and Couscous.

Tomorrow I have work. I should be in bed but I’m procrastinating for some reason. I don’t know why, nothing good ever comes from it. I already ate my weight in Dorritos. *sigh*

However! My lunch is packed. The kid’s lunch is packed. The kitchen is as clean as it could possible be considering my situation. Our clothes are laid out and I have tilapia defrosting for tomorrows dinner.

It’s all in the planning people. The planning. :)

  1. Good job on the planning! I’ll have to get back to that… :)

  2. I feel you on the Doritos, I ate my weight in anamial cookies the other day work all because I didn’t have a plan nor did I pack a lunch.

Good luck with move and packing…we are out growing are house and I’m putting off buying a new one all because I don’t feel like packing all the crap up!

  3. animal cookies..sorry about that

  4. I feel you food pain. I have 3 birthday parties in a row over the next 3 weekends and I LOVE cake the way you love pizza.

  5. I’m eating leftover pizza (we had THREE) from Dh’s camp… sigh. Too hot to cook and it’s just. sitting. there. looking at me every time I open the fridge. Overwhelmed with being a single married mom right now and trying not to think about being gone for 2 1/2 weeks and everything that needs to be taken care of before/during/after our trip. aaaaaaack! Tilapia… should also make Tilapia. :)

I noticed all your comments. geez!

  6. You are one BUSY woman, Roni. I’m sure you burned off most of the Doritos in all the packing and lifting. =)

  7. I forgot to sign up for the drawing :(

  8. There are probably thousands of “us” out there, as I read your blog daily (or I play catch up if I miss a day) for about the past year or so and I have never commented. So the 169 comments should probably be multiplied by 10 for those of us who read but don’t usually comment. I love your post and I admire your dedication. You are an inspiration to us all.

  9. Yup. Your website is more popular than you think. I like to enjoy reading blogs more than constantly having to think of creative comments. Your blog is awesome tho.

  10. It is all about planning for me too!

  11. You have lots of readers! I also read daily or catch up once or twice a week on what I have missed :-)
