Ask Roni_v26s2 TummyTuck Cost/CARBS!, Snack Attacks, Making the Gym Work, Maintaining

Date June 17, 2009

Woops! I totally forgot I recorded this weeks ago. I’m glad I found it as I haven’t had time to do new recordings since. In addition to the new job, moving, bad back fiasco I now have a sick child. *sigh*

Quick note to self… Please repeat… More M&M’s will not make you feel better. More M&M’s will not make you feel better. More M&M’s will not make you feel better. Now… go make popcorn…. better yet… GO TO BED!

Topics in the video include…

  • Cost of that Tummy Tuck/CARBS!
  • Snack Attacks
  • How to make the gym work for you
  • How I Maintain

Links mentioned…

Note: I was writing this last night while waiting for the video to upload. Then I took my own advice and fell asleep before I posted. I did have ONLY 1 handful of M&M’s but that was all! Now I feel wonderful after a good 9 hours of sleep!

  1. M&M’s won’t make you feel better, but sometimes they (or other foods) are the only reward/comfort I can think of.

What non-food comfort/rewards have you (Roni and fellow readers) found really work? Especially ones for those super busy times. (I feel like a handful of M&M’s takes 2 seconds and can be enjoyed while working, but hot baths and naps take TIME so I am less inclined to indulge in them.)

  2. I loved the video. I haven’t had time to do a lot of blog reading for the past few months and I am so excited to finally have time again. I always loved your Q&A videos…so glad to get to watch again!

    Happiness Awaits

  3. Roni, you are so totally awesome. I love the part where you talk about the fact you are in mainenance and yet still eat too much bread at your Mom’s. That gives me such hope. Hope that I can get to goal, maintain, and don’t have to be perfect every moment for it to work.

  4. I love the popcorn video! What a great idea!

  5. Great video, Roni! I so enjoy hearing what you’ve got to say. I’ve been maintaining since November 2008 when I got to goal, and although it isn’t easy, continuing to peruse your website and watch & listen to your videos is what keeps me going. Last night at WW, I was 3.4 pounds under my goal. Thank you!!

  6. Hey Roni, I love these videos, it feels like I’m having a cuppa with you shooting the breeze :)
It’s great to hear you talk about maintenance, not being there myself, it’s easy to dream of a place where I can let it all go and be “normal”. I think it’s good to be reminded that this isn’t so, it helps me make those lifestyle changes, and keep it all in perspective. Thanks again.

  7. I too love cheese and crackers and would also sit and eat a huge chunk of cheese with a package of crackers! Thanks so much for your suggestions on snacking I am a terrible snacker, especially in the evening or when I’m bored.

Congrats to Sheryl/Cheryl on your huge success with weight loss and on your upcoming wedding!

  8. Hello-

I really enjoyed your e-mail questions. You have great advice, I do go to WW and someday hope to make my goal. I heard this is going to be my year from my friend. Keep up the webcam -

  9. I have some thank you’s for you as well about your pancakes.
    I love them.
    My hubby loves them…
AND my 16 month old loves them as well.

So thank you for you wonderful recipe!

  10. I like your videos too, except I listen to them on my ipod while I go for a run vs watch them. Sounds like your approach to snacking is much like mine! And it works!
