In the midst of making a healthy breakfast for the toddler and I, listening to music and starting the laundry, my brain started churning. I was thinking about…

  • selling this house, moving, was it the right decision?
  • my 6 mile run later, when would I fit it in?
  • the husband and our discussion yesterday.
  • my to do list that never seems to end.

And then all of a sudden I realized all was O….K…. I had this strange calm come over me.

  • The house thing? If the house thing falls through we’ll be ok. Sure we’d lose a bit of money but worst things could happen. At least we HAVE a house and are even in a position to consider moving.
  • My run? Why am I stressing? It’s my time. Not only did I know I can do it I knew I’d enjoy it. Sick, isn’t it?
  • The husband? Relationships take work and compromise and both us are willing to do that. That’s why we work. :)
  • My ‘to do’? How can I stress over something I create? Plus I’m happier when I’m busy and accomplishing things. Why do I even try to fight it?

As those thoughts swam around I was accomplishing things. We didn’t turn on the TV. The toddler played with his new Bakugon toys (his latest obsession) I cleaned up, dancing to my favorite tunes. Life was good.

Why was I so calm and level headed this morning? Could it be that I got a good night sleep, maybe?

I did it! I actually went to bed BEFORE midnight. WAAAY before. 10:30 to be exact. I haven’t gone to bed that early in years! Now if I can just make that habit!

Around lunch I headed out for my run. It was a gorgeous day to run 10k!

10k run

It was a tough run. I was crampy. There was this GIGANTIC hill. I was into it but I wasn’t. Hard to explain. Regardless… I DID it and the feeling at the end always makes it worth it. :)

Once I got home I showered up. Watched some basketball with the husband (I’m actually holding my own in the NCAA pool!) and then we took the toddler to the driving range. Did I ever tell you the husband was a golf fanatic? Well I think he’s passing on the gene. :)

Once we got home we, or should I say I cooked dinner. I went with burgers and fries. Making extra Southwestern Turkey Burgers for lunch later in the week.

Now? Well now I’m chillin’ with hubz (maybe I should rename him ;~P) watching Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. It’s cute.

All in all it was definitely a SENSATIONAL Sunday! Here’s the food journal. I’m signing off to enjoy the rest of the movie and hit the hay early again. :~D

Glad your day turned around. This WILL fall into place. I’m a firm believer in that, even if it wasn’t part of your master plan. Have faith! fyi, I linked to your quote post. :) Have a great monday!

Nick and Norah’s is a cute movie, a bit odd, but still cute. AND funny.

I know exactly how you feel about being into it, but not and then the end result being that much better!

Loving your weekend, nice and relaxing!

Roni, outside of selling my house, I am pretty much on the same page as you these days. Very funny how some what parallel our journeys are going. Not exactly, but very comparable for sure. I guess that is why I love reading your thoughts so much.

Ok, I really did chuckle out loud when I read your “to do” list comment. I’m right there with you …. I started creating “to do” lists as a way to stay organized. After a while I became so obsessed with maintaining the list itself, that I’ve recently thrown caution to the wind and stopped.

That’s right, no more “to do” list.

I’m now living life on the edge :)

One comment in regards to sleep. I know that sleep is often viewed as a luxury, but it is so very very (very!) important to get 8 hours per night. It keeps our stress hormones in check and actually enables us to release natural growth hormone — both which help us to keep the pounds on the scale from creeping upwards!!!!

  7. You sound just like me stressing about everything, including the “to do” list which is supposed to SIMPLIFY things! I just try to remember remember that Jesus is my rock and to lean on Him!

I also don’t go to bed early enough most nights! I slept more last night too!

    Great job on the run!

  9. Roni! The Toddler looks SO CUTE with his little golf club!

I have to admit I was a bit jealous looking at your pictures. Not that there’s much golf very often in our home =) but you’re doing what you love, you’re spending time with you tot, and you’re loving it. ~Congrats~ and give yourself a pat on the back. You’re my hero! =D

I am just curious if 30 points is how much you get a day while maintaining? or was some of them your weekly points? Maybe it’s all those crazy activity points you earn! 10K you are insane lol I wish I could do that! Anywho I get 27 points and thats with breastfeeding but I am also not very active. I just always thought once I got to my goal to maintain I would have to get use to a lot less points. wish I could learn to run like you!
