Note to self…
March 13, 2009
OK, Miss “I’m getting back to basics today”. What happened? You’re getting into that daily cycle of starting fresh in the morning.. doing great until dinner.. and then falling apart at night. It’s been going on for well over a week now. You see it. You recognize it. Yet you still just ate a half of bag of twizzlers. WHY?!? Cause they were there?
Come one now…. SNAP OUT OF IT!

Ha…I’ve been in the same pattern lately. I was fine the whole week until tonight but what can I say…those lucky charms were calling my name on the kitchen counter.

Word. lol I feel ya. I always do this, it’s such a hard habit to break. Especially when you’re in that mindset of, “I have a few calories left over…” and then you overdo it.

I did the same thing last night. Sigh. Maybe it was the power of Friday the 13th? My vacation and thus a bathing suit are 7 weeks away. I WILL NOT OVEREAT TODAY!!!!!

that’s how I started I lost 15 pounds and then slowly started not following the rules and points and now I am up from where I started from and decided to start all over like I did in the beginning and I have lost 5pounds this week . the diet works we just have to follow it. you motivate me everyday so hope I can help you. there are so many low point meals so plan and then if you crave something you still will have the points or make something up to snack on through the week that is low point snack or dessert.hope this helps

Maybe it’s time to get the danger foods out of the house (or at least make it very inconvenient to get to), and time to get to bed early, or make the decision that there will be NO eating after 8pm or whatever time you notice the eating starts. This night eating thing is a stage that you’ll find a way to get past, I’m sure of it.
But you know Roni, I’d love to see a positive, self empowering “Note to self” from time to time… whenever I see a post titled this, I know you’re about to come down on yourself.
Or… how about a “Things I did Right Today” post? I’m just thinking that when we start beating ourselves up over something, it adds to the cycle and then we find ourselves eating more.
Balance, right? :-)

Been there, done that! Hang in there Roni!
For me, I can’t have my trigger foods in the house - I can leave cookies all day long, but pretzels - no way!!

I don’t really feel ‘ I ‘ can give you any advice- you’ve been so capable on your own :) I just wonder when your last meeting was ? I find the meetings to be sobering and a reminder of all my goals. HTH

BTDT pretty much all day yesterday! Ate all my extras if not more. Now I’m trying my darndest to stay in my points for the rest of the week (til tomorrow) even with 2 dinner parties at my house. Good thing I have yummy recipes that anyone would eat!

Its me from yesterdays post……on day 2 and I ate 24 points. Only 1 over. That’s TREMENDOUS for me lately. i am a night eater too…..
I have many weaknesses….but one of my favorite are PEEPS…yes….sugar on top of a cute shaped marshmallow creature…I mean, c’mon…how is ONE innocent looking chickie or bunny going to hurt? Or two….or three….or you know….a WHOLE pack is only 6 points! 6 POINTS!!!
That’s how it goes….
well today? No peeps……they didn’t call my name yesterday, or today, and I may just have to tell my son I’m throwing them away.
I just thought of something funny….
its been two days and I haven’t heard (c’mon - you know it coming) a PEEP out of them!
ha ha

I completely feel you on this post! This sums up my eating habits lately :) Why is it we can feel so energized and committed in the morning and then everything just falls by the wayside at night? I guess all we can do is take it one choice at a time…

Do you think it’s the extra running that’s actually increasing your appetite? Or maybe that you’re rocking so much with all the exercise that you’re giving yourself a pass to eat more snacks? Don’t beat yourself up - just try to figure out what it is that’s making you want to do that late in the evening.

I do and you know.. I really don’t think I’ve learned to account for it yet. I’ll figure it out. :)
