Super Fantastic Sensational Sunday
January 11, 2009
One day I will run out of Sensational Sunday titles, now won’t I? :)
Today started off with NO TV. I swear, if I put it on first thing I lose at least 1-2 hours to shear nothingness. It’s unbelievable! Today we started with the radio instead. It really makes all the difference for us. We then made breakfast and cleaned up. The toddler and I played a few games while the husband…. slept! Of course. He’s the sleeper of the family. I don’t even try to get him up with us anymore. It’s not worth the aggravation. :)
Then it was time to get ready for our guests! My friend was coming over with her son for a play date. I decided we would make pizza with the kids and Lynnea brought blackberries! So we decided to make Black and Blue Dessert cups for a sweet treat! The were was so good! After lunch we played the Wii until the kids started to get cranky. Well, my kid… Jackson was a little angel. :)
During the toddler’s nap I decided to drive down to a possible home site (we *may* be attempting a move if you haven’t heard) and run in that community. Not only did I fall in love with the area I’m spying up (again) I had an AWESOME 3 mile run.

It was almost effortless, mostly (I think) because my brain was preoccupied with possibilities of moving. I’m in love with this location and will be making some decisions this week. The only thing that worries me is getting all excited and then let down if something goes wrong. I guess the roller coaster of emotions I’m going through is pretty normal. I’m just supper exited of the possibilities at this point and having fun dreaming.
When I got home the husband declared he wanted out of house! (poor guy worked all day) So we decided to (yet again) drive to the "target" area and hit Panera for dinner. As you can tell by my menu I made some pretty good choices. Panera really is one of my favorite semi-fast food places as the husband actually enjoys it AND I’m just thankful it’s NOT Burger King. :)
Now? Well now I’m sitting in quite a messy house even though I cleaned all morning. I have to write one more post before bed and I’m getting hungry. I’m thinking of making some bean dip, maybe a new recipe using my new food processor! :) So I’m signing off to make my snack, straighten up and get ready for tomorrow to end my Sunday in a truly Sensational way, by preparing.
Stay tuned for another podcast tomorrow, I should have it up by then. Have a great night and I hope Monday treats you well! :)
P.S. Join me tomorrow for lunch in the BlogToLose chat room! Hope to see you there!

Last week, after my first day of training for my first ever 5k, I stopped at Panera and ordered that exact same meal. It was so good and very filling.
Also, I’ve randomly seen you mention black bean dip and soy crisps on here, so at the store the other night, I picked up some canned beans and found the soy crisps, threw the beans in my food pro with some salsa, honey, and hot sauce, and oh man…talk about addicting!

It was delicious! :)
I just posted my bean dip idea from tonight… http://greenlitebites.com/2009/01/11/fresh-black-bean-dip/
Next time you’ll have to add some fresh bell pepper it was an AWESOME addition!
Congrats on the 5k training!

yayy!!! sounds like a great day and those cups look SOOO GOOD :D
btw, i was curious if salt/sodium content is a big deal for you because i love panera but was highly disturbed at how high the sodium content was for their soups :[ sad b/c their black bean is pretty tasty. i know for me, when i eat too much salt i bloat and swell like a balloon. just wondering how big a factor it is to your daily diet :] thanks!!!
LOOOVE your blog!! <3

Ohhh I’m feeling it RIGHT NOW! :)
I tend not to worry about it too much as I don’t use too much salt when I cook at home which is where I do most of me eating. I just try and drink a bit more water on “panera days” :)

Good job with the run Roni.. Hey.. I walked the overweight lab yesterday.. lol, thats a start! I love Panara, in fact.. I used Panara’s IC Mocha’s as a treat when I quit smoking, every evening after dinner I would drive over to Panara for a 1000 calorie shot. What was I thinking!!!!!
Have a good week

Isn’t “S” the thickest chapter in the dictionary? Of course, you won’t have every S-word at your disposal…

Hey Roni,
Just wanted to let you know that not only have you inspired me with my eating and cooking aspect of my life. But now you have really inspired me to start running. I went out and got a Nike+ (which I am in love with, by the way). I don’t know if a lot of your other blog readers have a Nike+, but did you ever think about creating a Roni’s Running Team on the Nike+ website?? Just a thought….thanks for the motivation!

so exciting!! I definitely get my hopes up really easily w/ things like new apts., new jobs, etc., but it’s okay as long as you know that it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t work out—there will always be new opportunities!!
