		<description>oh yeah and i usually eat about 30 mins before running (but not a lot) and i have a snack up to an hour after i&#039;m done.  my whole exercise routine can take up to an hour though so it&#039;s almost right about the time for me to have another meal anyway by the time i get to it.  if i wait too long my blood sugar does weird things and i end up eating cheese out of the container and poundcake at whole foods like i did today.</description>

For the workout/eating question, I&#039;ve also been told that if you are working out under 90 minutes, there&#039;s no need to eat any special or extra.  If you are working out more than 90 minutes, it&#039;s good to eat a snack with mostly carbs (easily digestible, very little fiber) and a small amount of protein - like an apple or banana and 1 TBSP of peanut butter, or a Luna or Clif bar, or a small, healthy muffin, etc.  Carbs and protein - that&#039;s the goal.  I&#039;d recommend eating about 60 minutes before working out, or, as Roni points out, you will probably get cramps.
