Note to Self…
November 14, 2008
It’s O…K…
Seriously, it is. You were conscious all day. Journaling and being aware of what you were eating. Some healthy eggs before the gym. A nice bowl of oatmeal when you got home. Then a great controlled snack. Yeah, so, you nibbled on some chocolate before heading to the restaurant, no big deal (it wasn’t REAL chocolate anyway ;~).
Dinner was fun. You made good choices sharing entries with the husband and toddler. A bit overboard on the fried rice and noodles. And yeah, you probably didn’t need that dessert. But hey! You did split it!
Again…. It’s O…..K……
It really is. You know this is what it’s all about. You KNOW It’s about balance.
Oh! and good job on walking from the restaurant to the store instead of driving. Even though you had to argue with the husband about it. You’re teaching the toddler not to be so lazy and nothing beats a nice stroll after dinner. Hopefully the husband will come with you next time. :~)
Remember tomorrow you will be OK too! Yes, you will be out of your element at the football game all day. Yes, you may get frustrated at the husband and the toddler, as it will be a long day, probably exhausting day. Just make the best choices you can and you’ll be fine. It’s O….K….
Hear me? IT"S OooooKAAAAAY!
Now shut the computer down, relax and GET SOME SLEEP! Go ahead. It’ll be fine. All the emails will still be there tomrrow night.

It will be okay – this is definitely what I need to tell myself tonight.

Very good post :) People need to remember to not throw in the towel just because things didn’t go as planned. If we were perfect all of the time there would be no way to get better and grow.
And laziness is what is killing this country!

It will be fine. And it will be even better if you fill me in on chocolate that is not ‘real chocolate’, :-)

Good luck today!
And good for you for walking from the restaurant to the store. It is those small, everyday actions that build the foundations, good or not so good, for children’s future behaviour.

Cristy- I linked to it, it was the chocolate covered plums.
I also have to confess. After I wrote that I totally hit the ice cream. I was just in a funk! :~(

Love this – I was just thinking to myself, yesterday’s food choices did not go as well as I had planned – 2 hot dogs and chips in the night. I was trying not to beat myself up and remind myself I’ve done well all week and I am going to the gym. After reading this I’m like – yeah! I’m going to focus on the positive and stay motivated. Thx :-)

I believe you wholeheartedly! It just kills me when people say “I am on a diet so I can’t eat cake ever again.” Even being diabetic I let myself have treats once in a while, otherwise I’d go crazy!
Have a fun day Roni!
