I DID IT! I Freakin’ DID IT!!
November 7, 2008
Ok, this is a TOTAL brag post. Even though I’m running out of time to pack for Chicago I HAD to take 10 minute to tell you all that I DID IT! I reached a goal! I DID A PULL UP!! I can NOT believe it! What you say? You cant either? Well… I have proof! (thank God for trainers with tricked out phones!) …
Here I am doing not my first, but SECOND pull up just for the video. My first one even looked better, I didn’t have to use my legs as much.
How cool is THAT! LOL
ok, Now I want to do a "regular" pull up, You know with your arms out wide, those are SUPER hard. I can only go up about an inch. This whole goal achieving thing is quit addictive! ;~P
Ok, enough bragging I have to pack! My plane leaves in 3 hours!!! LOL

Great job Roni!
am working on my first “real” push up. I have been doing the 100 push ups programs (w/knee push ups) for several weeks and I am getting closer to a “real” pushup. My 2008 New Year’s resolution was to be able to do one “real” push up before the end of the year (of course I waited until the last quarter to get on the ball!) and I am hoping that I can meet it!
Good for you on setting and meeting your goal!

Thanks Guys!
Melissa… She’d say…. No FREAKIN WAY!, try… and then give up.
I’ll give myself that, I always tried. I just never continued to try until I actually did it. Now I do. :~)

Oh my gosh Roni I am so proud of you and so excited for you! Such a reminder that it doesn’t matter how long it takes to meet our goals…..as long as we don’t give up….we’ll meet them!! Oh and fyi…I got kicked out of gym class in high school for refusing to try and do a pullup (you know when they’d have the physical fitness assesments) in front of the entire class. Yep I flat out said no to spare myself the embarrassment, and promptly got kicked out. LOL. Witch Phys Ed Teacher!! Maybe I’ll add that to my list of things I want to be able to do. lol. Thanks for sharing….I was so excited watching that - you would have thought I did the darn pull up. lol.

Wow! I’m impressed! Good for you! And that pull up bar looked REALLY high off the ground(however I am short, everyhting looks high off the ground for me)

Congrats! I suck at those. Does anyone remember in gym class long ago where you had to do all these standard tests, how many sit-ups, push-ups, etc.? Well, there was the hanging bar where they timed you to see how long you could hold on. I think my record was 3 seconds, the girl next to me (who was tiny!) lasted 2 minutes!

Way to go Roni!! I’ll have to get on the goal achieving band wagon! Oh, wait. I guess I have to actually make goals in order to achieve them, right?! OK, on my next blog post, I will set out some goals. . . feel free to support me people. I DO NOT WANT TO SPEND ANOTHER SUMMER BEING FAT!!! I need help finding some achievable, confidence building, baby step type goals to get me going. I am open to suggestions.
Thank you, Roni! You are truly an inspiration. How’s about a visit to Denver to meet some bloggers?! :-)

SOOOO GREAT! And great bragging!
This post was so inspiring to me as I am in a kind low inspiration low at the moment.
You really show that if you do your right training you will also achieve the results. It is just the believing part that does or doesn’t do it.
Lots of Love,
Nina

Congrats! Wow. I remember when I was 12 and I could do 10. I think that had more to do with my weight than my strength.

Congrats, pull ups were never my strong suit. I can do 10-12 now after months and months of training.

This is awesome! Every couple of months, I have dreams about doing pull ups (weird, I know). I love those dreams because I wake up feeling powerful. IRL, I can’t do a single one. You rock, Roni!!!
