I've noticed a big difference in my personal PMS experience in the last 6-8 months, and had NEVER considered that it could be an age thing! I also have suffered from migraines since I was a kid and have noticed that though they may not have become more frequent, the symptoms I experience with them are different now too. I did wonder if it had something to do with my weight loss, but I could figure out a direct correlation. Age makes perfect sense for both though. Thanks for the info!!

Regarding the PMS, maybe try vitex/chasteberry supplements.

Also, some very good books on the subject include various titles by either Uzzi Reiss and/or Erika Schwartz. Both authors provide a lot of information regarding progesterone/estrogen levels, fluctuations as we age and how to manage effectively.

Hi Roni!

I have also donated a small amount to Grace because I think it is great what she is doing. So many people lose their enthusiasm about doing good to other people because they are too involved in their own mess, but actually it's easy to change, and if all do just a little bit, the change in the end is still huge.

And about PMS: I thought I was the queen of PMS! My carb cravings and mood swings are legendary, sometimes I even get so angry (on the inside, I do not freak out in public ;) ) - and scare myself with my anger because I am NOT an angry person - and I cannot imagine why I do not note those days in my calendar because they come and go like clockwork, no irregularities. I am seeing an alternative practicioner now and she gave me some combination of Bach flower essences, so I am closely watching if they do something good for me in this respect, too. I also try to see if I need more minerals at that time as more minerals can stabilize your nerves. Apart from a huge piece of chocolate mud cake, which I don't recommend here. And fluffy bed socks, which I can highly recommend, they are my soul comforter at the moment, even if they look like Sesame Street feet.

And PMS definitely gets stronger along the years, so we have to take more care of ourselves.

You know why PMS is called PMS? Because the name "mad cow disease" was already taken! Yea, that joke doesn't go over great with my wife either, but I always get a chuckle out of it!

Roni~~~~ Thank you so much for putting up a blurb about Grace's fundraising efforts! The more we get involved, the better the world will be...even if all we do is get people to thinking about the blessings that they have in their lives! I think that you are one of the blessings in most of our lives...thank you for all that you do here on GLB and BTL. If it weren't for you, I would feel very alone in my weight loss efforts. Thanks for giving us you, each other, and lots of laughs!! Keep it up Roni, you are amazing!
