Quaker Multigrain Cakes - Cinnamon Toast

Date October 7, 2008

Quaker Multigrain Cakes - Cinnamon ToastThis is more of a food re-find. I started buying these back a few years ago and have been meaning to post about them every since! I forgot about them (not all stores carry them) for a bit until coming across them again last weekend.

These are one of my favorite Quaker Products. They aren’t "Rice Cakes", which have a reputation of being bland and boring, they are "Multigrain Cakes", and cinnamon to boot! You can’t go wrong. The texture is yummy and and each cake as the perfect amount of sweetness.

Made with Whole grain rice, corn and oat flours these are a snack I love to share with the toddler. He’s been munching on them since he entered finger food age.

Quaker has the nutrition information and ingredients listed nicely on there snack page but I’ll give you a sneak peak, 50 calories a cake, 1g of fat, 1g of fiber, 1 WWP.

Anyone else out there a fan?

  3. Yes, I eat these…..love them!

  4. These are wonderful. They come in smaller snack sizes, too. Quaker Mini Delights. My favorite is the chocolate, but they have Peanut Butter, Buttered Popcorn, Cinnamon Streusel and Chocolatey Mint! My kids love these in their lunches.

Have you ever seen a product called Pirate’s Booty with Aged White Cheddar, http://www.robscape.com/ ? WOW, it is wonderful. A quarter of the bag is 130 cal., Fat 5g, Fiber 1g, WW 3pts. Of course, I never eat 1/4 bag, so the points are much less. It is a great alternative to Cheese Puffs. The kids love it, too!

  5. Yes, I am a fan, but I found their butter toffee flavor, and I like it even better. And, as in almost all of life, I really love it with about 2 Tbsp of lite cool whip spread on top. It seems like such a decadent snack.

  8. I love these! I am a huge fan of mini caramel rice cakes with a spoonful of frozen fat free whipped topping on them! My own “ice cream sandwiches!” Super yummy and so much better for you!

  10. I’ve never tried these, but I did find chocolate Orville Redenbacher popcorn mini cakes that were being closed out at the dollar store, that are really good. I love cinnamon, though, so I’ll have to look for these. (Crossing my fingers that my local Jewel finally carries SOMETHING I’m looking for!) :)

  17. Hi,

I, absolutely, love the cinn. toast rice cakes. They have satisfied my sweet tooth everytime I want to grab something fattening. Unfortunately, I can’t find them anymore in Michigan. Nobody sells them. Help! Is there a place on the internet I can order them? I miss having them with my tea and coffee..I would appreciate, very much, some advice.

  18. Oh man Roni….you’ll never believe the deal I got on these yesterday at the grocery store. I went in to get some Kitchen Bouquet, which will “brown” gravy, as I’m going to try your pork chops with mushrooms again, and leave out the apple cider vinegar as well as the Worcestershire. Anyway…I regress…….across from the spices (where I found Kitchen Bouquet), were the rice cakes, and the guy was working on the rice cakes display. He made the comment to me that he was putting out new flavors, so I was interested. I picked up several kinds, checking the stats, and as I picked up the Multigrain cakes, he said to me, “I’m getting ready to mark these down, as their dates will expire in a few days”. So I asked how much, he responded 25 cents, so I snatched up all 7 packages of them. Can you believe it? They were originally marked $2.19 a package, and I got 7 packages for $1.75! Sorry…I had to gloat. And as far as the date….I don’t pay any attention to dates on things like that. In the 70’s and 80’s, before they ever started dating anything, I had food in my pantry for years and nothing bad happened.

  19. Does anybody out there no where I can get cinnimon toast rice cakes? A place where I can order them from; like a distributor or a store. I miss them very much.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!!!

    Judy
