I am so glad you reviewed this! I probably would have bought them, and like their other cakes, wished I hadn't. I am such a sucker for trying new 1 point treats.

Check out Jens last blog post..Rubio's Health Mex

dani - Out of all the mixes I've seen the Vitalicious are the ones I'm most happiest with. It's not perfect but compared to some of the other brands they aren't that bad when you want that fast convenience snack. That's just my opinion though. Here's the ingredients...

Water, whole wheat flour, egg whites, maltitol, organic evaporated cane juice, cocoa (processed with alkali), chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter), soy fiber, inulin, wheat gluten, dried honey, erythritol, wheat protein isolate, fruitrim (grapejuice, brown rice syrup), walnuts, natural flavor, leavening (potassium bicarbonate, sodium acid pyrophosphate), lecithin, sea salt, xanthan gum, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, folic acid, iron, biotin, zinc.

Amen, Roni! Preach on, sister! As I have said before, I have a love/hate relationship with the w.w. snack foods. So I guess the bottom line for me is, they are not as nutritious as what I could make myself, or a few other options. But for tastability, and comparing them to their full-fat cousins, some of them can't be beat. (I love the oatmeal bars and the mint cookie crisp bars.) Well, there's a wobbly comment if ever I saw one!

Check out debbys last blog post..Fascinating

I tried these the other day, as Walmart did not have my WW Lemon cake......I like a 2:00 sweet with my cuppa tea....:-)
However, I just read through all the posts, and I didn't read what was my initial reation when I ate one of these cakes......
Did you notice the shiny residue left ALL OVER YOUR FINGERS when you touched this cake?????
Is it oil???
Grease????
One of the items in the ingredient list that I can't pronouce?
I dunno....but it left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended....;-D)

I hate hate that they sell crap food. My WW leader was giving out free samples of the "sides" and i took a look at the ingredients and the sodium. It was off the charts. It reminds that they are a "big business" and looking to make a buck . Do you think there is a way to voice these thoughts to someone who would listen. Roni, how do you feel about the vitalicious ingredients?

I'll pass on the "healthy" version. I'd rather splurge once in a while on the real thing. Make mine a chocolatey creamy Suzy Q !!!!

Totally in agreement. My sister and I have this conversation all the time too. We are SO SICK of "fat free" and "diet"products that are so full of chemicals and taste HORRIBLE, that it's not worth it! I picked up a jar of fat free mayo just to read the ingredients, and one of the first of a long list of crappy ingredients, was corn starch! I would rather have one teaspoon of REAL mayo, than lots of chemical fat free mayo. If we all just went back to the old days when we ate REAL food in moderate portions, we would all be way better off! YAY FOR REAL FOOD!!! LOL!!!

I have no interest in the Twinkie look-alike from WW, however, I am a fan of the chocolate cake. Frankly, when I want a bit of chocolate, I'm not too concerned if it's highly processed or not. I keep a box of these in the freezer and for me, one cake is the perfect little amount of chocolate that keeps me from jumping off the deep end into a vat of chocolate. So while, I'm trying to eat less process food overall, I'm all for the occasional bit of fake food that doesn't "cost" me much in terms of points.
