Next time you take a new class, like yoga, don’t go in the back afraid to look like an ass. Go right up front so you can see the instructor, ask for help and LEARN! There’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone starts somewhere.

Now… when you’re feeling a bit down, mad at the husband and getting annoyed with the toddler DO NOT experiment in the kitchen as therapy! You end up eating WAY too much. Really, when will you learn? Food is NOT the answer.

Oh! And STOP sneaking bites while making the toddlers lunches for school. You KNOW better! It’s mindless!!

What is it about being mad at husbands that leaves one so susceptible to blowing self-control? This was my story this weekend too. (Actually, I’m a bit fed up with the lack of support I get from my hubby in trying to improve my health. Guess I’m on my own. :(

    Thanks for your perspective!

    Dear Roni,

    RELAAAAAAAAAAX! Oh, and BREATHE!

Remember my question about, “I should have known better!!!”? This is exactly what I meant, only that I was a little more desperate about it. This is not about logic or knowledge. Find out what makes you “trip over your shoelaces”. And let me give you a big hug. :)

It is ok to go to the back of the class if you really feel like it, so don’t force it, but go to the front or middle of the class as soon as you can, it feels great! There are right moments for the front and right moments for the back.

And next time you get mad, look for your gym gear or a sexy masseur ;9 -partly just kidding. Maybe put a list on the fridge of non-food treats you could have next time you get a funk or mad. And “design” that list so that it really looks good, with headlines which are big like the ones in the tabloids. So you have to look at it every time you go near some food.

And ok, if the toddler is not only having cucumbers and carrots, stop having little bites here and there. Resp. have your bowl of fruit or veggies near. But if you have had little bites, embrace them, maybe your nerves needed them. Just don’t make it a habit.

    Lots of love!
    Nina

I think all the little bites I am sneaking are catching up. I did not lose anything this week! Phft! That is fine. I just have to work harder and avoid little bites all week!

Just curious but which gym did you join? You mentioned that you switched. I used to go to the Bel Air Athletic Club when I lived in Bel Air, but now that I am in Belcamp it is too far. Now the closest gym to me is Curves. :(

I had to laugh at your post. It’s so honest and I think we all do those things.

As to sneaking bites from toddler’s lunch. I have the opposite situation. I watch my 12 mo old granddaughter 3X/week. She is the proud owner of 2 bottom teeth so is at that in-between soft food and tiny bites. I was feeding her (yogurt, applesauce & babyfood chicken) while I was eating my leftover baked chicken and rice. She wanted MY food. I must have given her at least a tablespoonful of bits of my chicken. Probably good for me, portion-wise. I’ll have to beware of the time to come when her stuff starts to tempt me!
