Weekend Quote: Cookies and Raid?

10 Comments 1112 views

I needed a laugh this morning and when I came across this quote from Janette Barber it cracked it me up!

When I buy cookies I eat just four and throw the rest away. But first I spray them with Raid so I won’t dig them out of the garbage later. Be careful, though, because that Raid really doesn’t taste that bad.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend!

Wow. I can say that I’ve never been so desiring of sweets that I’ve gone through the trash. However, quite a creative idea for anyone that has :P

Glad to see you are back up. I was actually worried about you and the blog.

I have not frozen cookies but I do freeze tortillas and pitas. I will not use too many at a time and they end up going bad before I can eat them all. So I started to freeze them. Works great…but it takes a lot of freezer bags.

I try to freeze as many things as possible, ’cause I can binge on just about anything. The Raid idea cracked me up, but I would never throw anything away. When I was raised my parents taught me it’s the biggest sin to throw away food unless it’s spoiled (they really said that, I’m not exaggerating). So while in my rational mind I wouldn’t say cookies, potato chips and other junk is real food, it makes me shiver to think about throwing anything away.

I do something similar, but I take mine to the outside garbage instead of spraying them. There’s no way I’m digging cookies out of there!

That is hysterical!! I’ll have to remember that, lol! I do the old trick of putting water on whatever it is that’s tempting me before I throw it in the trash.
