POM Wildberry Light White Tea
September 19, 2008
The nice people at the POM blog asked if I’d be willing to review there Diet POM Tea. Being almost an exclusive water drinker, I appreciate the samples as I hardly every look down a beverage aisle.
So I’m drinking one right now and I’m really liking it. It has a nice light sweetness without the artificial sweetener aftertaste that a some diet drinks have. And so it shouldn’t, the only ingredients are white tea, Pomegranate juice, fructose, erythritol, Pomegranate Antioxidant extract, Blackberry juice, natural flavors and citric acid. I’m liking this trend of “diet” drinks not loaded with artificial sweeteners.
One bottle is two servings so I’ll provide the nutritional info per bottle. Coming in at 70 calories, no fat and fiber, of course, it’s 1 point a bottle. Not too shabby when you want something sweet and refreshing to drink!
I have to admit, I’ve been sipping on it while writing this and watching a movie (can you say multitastker) and it has prevented my night time sack fest by curing that craving for “something sweet”.

Pom coincidence — just blogged on eating pomegranate just now myself. One of LifeHacker’s top five weight loss foods. And that drink sounds yummy. I want one! :D
Check out Alexias last blog post..Yum, I love all five of these foods!

Hey Roni, love you site. Tea sounds yummy, but do you know if it’s decaf? I try not to have caffene very often since I’m very sensitive to it. It will keep me up at night even if I drink it in the early afternoon.
thanks, Dawn

Dawn - The bottle says less then 1mg of caffeine per serving so it’s there but very low.

Roni, thanks for the post and I’m glad you enjoyed the tea. I’m even happier to see that you have a great following of like-minded people. We LOVE the work you have done and the message you are sending out, keep up the great work. Dawn, re: the caffeine, there is a small amount but not enough to really notice. I’m not a caffeine fan either and don’t even notice it in POM Tea…but that’s just me.
Cheers,
PB

I found this in the store the other day but it was 4.99 for a bottle. Yikes. I couldn’t justify buying it:(

I just bought the orange blossom red tea one and its great! it was on sale for 2 for $5. Still expensive but a little bit better :) Maybe as it becomes more popular, they’ll lower the price.

Does POM help you lose weight? I really need to know. I’ve been wanting to try the Acai berry supplements, but they are so expensive they want over 70.00 dollars for ONE MONTH. Its totally retarded. Anyways please tell me if it does. Thanks, Kimberly.

Kimberly - POM juice is healthy for you but in my opinion, it does NOT help you lose weight. If anything I stayed away from all juices and beverages that were not water while losing (and still mostly do) those calories add up. If you drink anything but water now, then stop and switch to water. THAT will help you lose weight!
My 2 cents. :~)
