I hate those comments, the ones I hear are more like. "are you pregnant?" and I am not. I am only 5 ft tall though so even 5 pounds overweight shows on my frame. So I am constantly trying to add activity so that I will be healthy and have a good weight for my body. What bothers me even more is hearing comments made toward my hubby, I don't like it when others say things to him that are offending!

Those comments are aggravating, aren't they? Some people just can't help it. Have to keep in mind what I can change (me) and what I can't (other people).

Comments made by people who are ignorant of the program are one thing. Some of them just can't help but make silly comments. It's when they won't listen when you try to explain it to them that's frustrating. There are always going to be those who choose not to learn, and we just have to realize that and can't let them bring us down.

I'm curious to know how this morning's run went for you. I'm starting week 5 of the C25K tomorrow, and the end of the week brings me to a 20-minute run. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

roni you are hilarious!!! you always make me laugh =D. i think it'd be cool to do an intro/exit thing for your videos...reminds me of rachael ray and her signature "hi i'm rachael ray and in the time you watch this show, i'll have made a delicious meal from start to finish" (or something like that).

but anyway...the negative comments question totally resounded with me. i really do wish others would realize how one little comment can be HUGE for someone. i guess this is typical for parents, but whenever i came to visit from college basically the FIRST thing they would comment on was my weight, whether i had lost it or gained it. that became my main motivator: to always hear a positive comment about my weight when i visited, and i avoided/loathed visiting home whenever i did gain weight b/c i just couldn't stand it. but now, i havent so much been affected by my parents' DIRECT comments than other peoples' indirect comments that suggest my over-weightness, which make me freak out. ah, comments are just hard to deal with and hard to not DWELL over, even though the commentor probably forgets about it a few seconds after saying it.

First of all...skip the blackberry and get an iPhone 3G. It is wonderful. And it will work well with your computer :-).

Weight Watchers has a Weight Watchers Mobile for those who subscribe online. It should be able to be picked up on a blackberry. I use it on my iPhone. It will track your points and it has a mobile point calculator. More information is available on their site.

I can also totally understand the whole secret dieting thing...I sit in an office with 3 men at work. One of them and I are kind of like brother and sister. We pick on each other a lot. Anyways...after restarting and recommitting to the program 3 weeks ago I started taking a lot of 0 pt and 1 pt snacks. One day he had the nerve to say, "You're eating again? I thought you were trying to lose weight..." Anyways I went straight into defensive mode and probably ended up being a little rude and harsh. I picked up my baggy full of celery and cherry tomatoes and said, "Yup, there is a LOT of fat in my snacks...I better watch out!" Then he asked what was wrong and I let him know that if he did not understand the plan I was following he should not comment. I am sure I could make assumptions about him just the same way he did but I am not like that.

Sometimes I really wish people would mind their own business...ya know?
