A Sweaty Sensational Sunday!
September 7, 2008
I can’t help myself, I have to blurt it out…. I RAN 4 MILES TODAY! Me? **looking from side to side** *pointing finger to self* That’s right, ME and I have PROOF…

Now I did walk twice for about a total of a minute. Once around the 20 minute mark where I really didn’t think I could keep going and then again around 30 minutes. But I kept on trucking! And I’m So glad I did. I feel amazing. (note: the other dip on the chart is a hill, I kept a joggers trot but reduced my pace a bit).
After the run, the husband coaxed me into making Beer Chicken for the third weekend in a row. We made it on the grill again and it was delish! A few hours later the toddler and I snacked on watermelon and made a little popcorn for the GreenLiteBites video of the week!
Before the run, we had a busy morning returning books to the library, picking up some groceries and toys for Irish, then hitting the gym for the Zumba class I wanted to try. My plan was to run yesterday and try Zumba today but I was rained out so both got squished in.
As for Zumba, I can see why it’s getting popular but honestly, I’d rather dance at home. I’m less inhibited, have a 40 pound weight to swing around (the toddler) and can listen to anything I please. That being said, it’s worth a try. I moved every muscle in my body and it felt really good after my crazy weight training session the other day.
Other then that I cleaned house, even though you can’t tell now, plucked some cherry tomatoes from the garden (all eaten by the toddler) and got most of the laundry done. All in all a productive day even though there is still more on my to do list. :~)
I know there’s more to tell you but, honestly, I want to take a bath. I already indulged in some cookies (total conscious splurge, NOT like yesterdays mindless much) and if I don’t make to move towards bed, I can see me reaching again. ;~)
Oh! and I reworked another old post for Empowher, 7 Tips To Stay Motivated During Weight Loss.

I have a Zumba DVD I got free from Special K. I love it, it’s one of my favs for light days. I didn’t know they had gym classes.
Glad you had a great run!

Great job Roni! I am up to 3 minutes of running to 2 minutes of walking. My 5K is in 5 weeks, so I have to pick up the pace – my goal is to run the whole thing without stopping.
And you had a productive day to boot – nice!
