You are a great mom. I have also been feeding my kids healthier foods, my five year old has found out that she loves spinach from a can! I never would've thought.

Mommies are lucky to have that built in motivation. I feel the same way. I want to feed my family healthy and be a good example for them. It is the best gift we can give them. Blessed to be a proud mommy!

I love this picture. I love this age. My son is starting to become a stinky preteen, but he's adorable at his own age! This picture takes me back to such sweet memories.

This is such a motivating topic. I think you summed it up tremendously. And WTG for teaching your child such healthy eating habits.

Have a great day!

Roni,

What an inspiring post. I could not agree more about eating together. We found that meals were a marvelous time to discover what made our kids tick -- what was troubling them or what was bringing them joy. And it does not stop with just having meals together. As you know, we did kiddie things with our kids and we did adult things with them too.

I believe that when kids have to adapt to adult tastes and vice versa, it creates a spirit of unselfishness, and that makes families work well.

Thanks again for a wonderful post.

I wish I had known what I know today, when I was raising my 2 sons. But now I can feed my grandchildren healthy foods, and my sons have since learned about nutrition and realize that they need to feed their children more healthy foods. Although it doesn't happen all the time, their children eat more healthy than they did. Good for you, Roni, for getting your act together when your son was born!
