40 MIN RUN!!!
August 30, 2008
I DID IT! Yup, 40 minutes. I can’t believe it! and I was fine, I didn’t keel over, I didn’t die of a heart attack, I actually ENJOYED myself. Whoa, I’m still in shock myself. Every time I run I look more and more forward to the relay. Oh! and I did this run with a new friend I met from the site. I love finding workout buddies!

Ok, I don’t have time, I’m running out the door for poker night and then tomorrow it’s off to Mom’s for a BBQ. I will TRY to update Monday on all of these things…
- I recorded a Beer chicken in the OVEN. So YUMMY can’t wait to post it.
- I ate at Dunkin Donuts today and it was SO good and lite! Do you believe it?
- I have 2 food finds.
- A cookbook review.
- I was HACKED again and my baby was taken offline. :~(
I realize these are all very vague. I’ll fill you in later. Now, I have to leave and kick some poker arse! Then I’ll be MIA for two days.
Have a FABULOUS weekend!

Hey Roni could you remind us again what the little dots mean and also what the change in the lines mean? I remember you explained it in an old post, but I can’t find it! Thanks!

Way to go on the 40 minutes! How DID you find a running buddy? I’m in Southcentral PA…30 minutes from the MD line. We have a rails to trails path…but I dont’ feel safe to run it alone…
After two weeks not running (arm surgery) I’m hoping to slide back into my usual 40 minutes this Thursday. Probably will be rough…not having run in two weeks. Wish me luck!

Hey R., are you near Ohiopyle? i grew up there! live in GA now or I’d be your running buddy, I don’t have one either.

Sara - Sure! The dots are miles and the line represents my speed over distance. So the the higher the line the fast I’m gone, when it dips I’m slowing down.

Runnin4fun…I’ve heard of Ohiopyle, but I’m not near there. A lot of people in my area talk about camping there, and riding the trail. I’ve heard it’s quite nice.
GL finding a running buddy…

Hey Roni,
Wow that is so great. I ran the other night at Thomson park, you know the park that you came to with our bootcamp. I ran for about 8 min. Thought I would die at times LOL So my question to you is did you do your 40 min without stopping? I hope someone didn’t already ask you this and I am repeating the question.
Hope to hear from you again soon

Christine - Actually no one asked me that! But I did, IF YOU BELIVE IT! LOL
Drop your pace to a trot and control breathing, that is my strategy!

Hey Roni!!!!!
That is amazing, I am even more amazed by you then I was before LOL. I am sooooooo impressed by that. I will try what you suggested, I think that has always been part of my problem, pacing myself. I tend to try to get out into the lead ( The competive side in me) Then I my battery runs out.
Thanks again for more great advise. Keep up all your hard work Roni, but don’t over do it, you have to have balance!
I know you know that.
Have a fantastic night. I am off to Bootcamp now I have back to back classes!
Cheers
Chris :o)
