LOVED the vacation posts. And especially loved the video’s answering the questions – sure it helped your inbox backlog – but also mixed things up and was fun to watch. Thanks for taking the time to redo them after your audio troubles – it was well worth your time.

These videos have been great because even though I didn’t ask the question, I’m still getting advice! Plus its good to hear that other people are dealing with similar issues. I love going down the shore so I bet your having a great time! Thanks for posting!

Wow! First of all, thanks for taking the time to post these videos. I find them immensely helpful and motivating.
That 2nd to last question (the gal who lost 40 lbs and still has 35 to go) really spoke to me. Approximately a year and change ago, I lost 35 lbs, with about 35 more to go, got frustrated, and quit. You’re absolutely right–the year has gone by, and now I’ve started to lose again, only now I’ve got even more to lose.
However, sometimes you need that very logical kick in the pants, which I received from you, so thanks. This time I will celebrate every 5 lb increment, congratulate my accomplishments, and just enjoy that step in the journey instead of asking always “what’s next?”
Sorry so long winded. I just got a little enthusiastic. :-) Hope you’re enjoying your vacation!

Blogging as a weight loss tool is a HUGE motivator for me. In the past two weeks since I started blogging, 200 people have visited my site. There has been around a 20% return rate of folks waiting to see if I can do it or not or reading what I have to say. I feel an accountability to blogging that I haven’t felt before. I told folks that I would weigh in every Sunday.
Roni, thanks for your inspiration. I wouldn’t have started writing about it had I not seen your blog!

Boy, I feel a lot like the person who has lost 40 and still has 30 to go … I’ve lost 42.8 and have another 30-ish to lose. I’m not on the verge of quitting (thanks in large part to Blog to Lose. There’s a lot of encouragment and motivation there), but it seems like I’m never going to get to my goal.
By the way, I didn’t abandon my weight-watchen blog … I just moved over to BTL. I should probably link to my new blog in the comments box, eh?

YES!! I LOVE that philosophy…the months are going to pass either way, so why not be doing something productive about your health/body/weight loss??
It’s so easy to get caught up into the procrastination lies about goal setting – “I’ll start being good___________________” <========insert your favorite lie here (next week, next month, once school starts, after my birthday, the next holiday…blah, blah, blah…) We often forget that while sitting around believing this stuff, we could have been half way to the goal!

I think the statement of “time will go by anyway” is really going to be a motivating phrase for me just in general. At the gym and don’t feel like working hard “going to be at the gym anyway for XX minutes, why not just make it worth it.”, etc.
Thank you!!!
