And here I thought *I* was the genius that came up with that one.

"Great Minds" etc, etc.

Thanks for popping in from time to time Roni. I appreciate the support. You may have noticed it's been a little rough lately in my corner of world, but the kind words from my good blogbuddies DO help. Thanks.

Notice that I shared the love this week. I couldn't help myself. Sorry.
No one will notice my little contribution to the drama. I'm *invisible*.

Take care. And LOVE the new site!

The "Everything in Moderation" mantra is probably the most important lesson we can learn from the aging generation. It was also my dad's most often used quote as I was growing up.

There's definitely an underlying tone of comfort in the quote that stands in the face of our fast-paced, quick-fix (as Cintia puts it) world of today. Hopefully those of us who value this stance can hold fast to it and carry it forward to the next generation - it definitely holds a valuable life lesson, not only in the realm of physical health, but in every aspect of living!

It is so common because it's true. Healthy living is all about consistency. It's one step in front of the other, then repeat!

Persistence is not popular in a culture that wants quick fixes. I wrote a post about it myself but I wrote about Perseverance: http://cintianfood.blogspot.com/2008/04/something-i-havent-talked-about.html
I agree with you. You learn to make less mistakes through it all and you keep persisting.

Your post made me smile. I've had this expression as the header on my page both on the Weight Watchen Community, and Blog To Lose. This expression is what got me going two years ago to get healthy, and it's what keeps me going to get there....

"It's not Perfection that gets you there, but Persistence." - Anonymous

I LOVE that......
