LightFull Satiety Smoothie Chocolate
Shopping the other day I was thirsty and hungry, NOT a good combination at the grocery store. While perusing the dairy section I saw a shelf full of these yellow smoothie bottles. Normally I’m very hesitant with smoothie products. They are usually a waste of calories that I’d rather use on real, "chewed" food. But something made me pick one up and look at the nutritional information. What I see surprises me, 90 calories, .5 g of fat and 5g of fiber for the 8.5 oz Lightfull Chocolate Smoothie chocolate smoothie. This I have to try! [Read more →]

How Amazing… – A Response
I know I shouldn’t do this but I’m compelled. Today I received the following comment on My Story.
How incredibly powerful would all of us be if we stopped wasting our energy and inner strength controlling the food we eat, writing it down, feeling guilty or virtuous about it, thinking that the size of our hips has anything to do with our value as people? How amazing would it be if we could instead focus on finding our own happiness, making a difference in the world, loving ourselves as we are today? I have as much trouble as the next person looking in the mirror and loving what I see but there’s got to be more to life than the number of points in a tortilla, yes? You don’t have to be someone else’s idea of thin to live an active, happy life.
My response, a bit harsh maybe? [Read more →]

So Much More then a Sensational Sunday
phew What a day! My Sensational Sunday almost didn’t happen. Did you ever have a slow morning? A morning where you have to make that conscious decision to get up and get moving or you’re going to lose the day?
That’s what we had today.

New Week, New Menu, New Site
WOW! I can’t believe I’m doing this. Following in Microsoft’s footsteps, I present to you my new site, bugs and all. I’m about 70% done but decided to release it and have you help me find the errors. :~D
Why? Well, that’s how I roll. ;~P I needed something to motivate me and this was it. I haven’t been able to workout, my eating has been slightly out of control and I was desperate for a change. I redesigned the site, the food journal, and I feel like I have new lease on this whole weight maintenance thing. [Read more →]

1 Point Tortillas – They DO exist!!
Awhile back I posted a list of 1 point tortillas that I found and I’ve been meaning to update it now for over a year. A YEAR! Well, I finally got my act together.
Now this list is not a list of the only tortillas I use. Frankly, I’m a tortilla fanatic and anytime a new brand shows up at the grocery store I get excited and eye it up. I only take home the ones that are either 1 point or completely whole grain. What I’ve found is the “low carb” brands are your best bet for the lowest points and calories because they have the highest fiber. The 100% whole grain ones are usually 2-3 points and range from 100-150 calories.

I can NOT stop eating, seriously. All I want to do is munch munch and munch!
I’m done, I am NOT hungry, I’m just eating for eating sake an it’s stupid. Enough said.

Do you Food Journal?
I’m asking this weeks question out of pure curiosity. If you are regular reader you may know I have varying degrees of food journalism (food journalism?? not sure if that makes sense, but that’s how it came out of me and I’m going to run with it.)
These levels have evolved over the last 3 years of losing and maintaining a weight loss.
