I needed that advice myself. Taking it one choice at the time and being honest works day in and day out. Thanks for the reminder!

Gee -- I thought I came up with the "One day — one choice — at a time" mantra. It figures that a mind greater than mine came up with it first! :D

it won't help with the ice cream - but I started carrying a box of zip lock sandwich size bags and a box of zip lock snack size bags in my car - long ago. If I child has something that is too big - I encourage them to divide it in half and save the rest for later. VERY Good habit for the kids to learn. And keeps me from holding a half eaten something - or having to pitch it.

Hey Roni~
I love your honesty and humor! I also love how you "self-talk" through your choices (mistakes and all)~ I do the same thing! You're doing great- if you step back and look at your food journal (compared with everything our there that you could be eating), you are FAR from throwing away a week. You are eating overall incredibly well and I think it's awesome that you let yourself have a treat here and there, enjoy it, and move on. We can't totally live in a food bubble and we have to be able to live and eat (and even indulge alittle) in the real food world. You seem to be doing a fantastic job of keeping the balance (you look so trim!) I have lost 20 lbs (i had a baby 7 months ago and the weight wasn't coming off like it used to)- and I LOVE this new lifestyle. You have really inspired me to be more conscious of what I'm eating- and to be honest, it's become so much fun!
Thanks for all that you do! You're doing great!
;)
