Thank you so much for your videos! I am such a sap, too, I feel like I am looking into a mirror with a thin me! :D But I like to laugh a lot, too, and I bet you do, too! Don't worry, it's just healthy.

About the question on veggies: I have a friend who also hates them and is doing WW with me, and I think she has found a few tricks. I am a fruit hater, but I also found a few tricks. Maybe I just share them here:

- Relax about it, do not pressure yourself into eating fruits or veggies. And do not let other people put pressure on you, even if you need fruit and veggies for a healthy diet.

- Find out if you just talk yourself into hating them or if you have just eaten the ones you do not like. If you really cannot eat them, your body might not need so many veggies of that kind.

- While doing WW, you realize you are allowed to eat anything, but that you get more out of it if you eat more veggies and fruit. You are just allowed to eat more.

- The fibres in vegetables in fruit actually make digestion easier, and as activties and nutrients in your colon also influence your immunal system and your emotional well-being (I once had diverticulitis at a very young age, so I read a lot about this topic). If you only eat the heavy stuff, and do not drink enough water, your colon will get very challenged or even stressed or sick in the long run, and your whole digestive system is so important.

- There is no way you hate ALL veggies or all fruit. None of us likes all kinds of fruit or vegetable either. So take your time and find out about them.

- You can also find out in which form you like them. My friend the veggie-hater e.g. found that she likes fresh tomato sauce, carrots and green salad. And she likes some veggies rather puréed than whole or raw, so soups are a good idea for her. I found out about types of fruit, too. I am still not a fruit lover, but I know which ones I like now.

- Cheat yourself into eating them. Maybe you like them better in Asian food, or in small bits in a Sheperd's Pie, or puréed, or mixed into mashed potatos. Of course, all made on the base of healthy recipes. No one forces you to sit down in front of a platter of crudités. Or even cut them into forms like Smilies, flowers (carrots are good for that). Get out your inner child, and laugh a bit about yourself.

- Read some pages about children and how to get them to eat fruit and vegetables to get yourself some ideas.

Love,
Nina

I agree with taking snacks to eat all day but I'm wondering why nobody has mentioned taking a freezer pack to keep their lunch items refrigerated? Me, my husband and kids do this everyday. I pack bags of carrots, bags of pre-cut apples, granola bars, low-cal fruit in a can, etc. and eat throughout the day.

Hi Roni!
Great video, again! Just joined WW, and looking forward to trying some of your yummy recipes!

Agree with you on the foreign object/birth control thing. I even have an issue with tampons... foreign!
I love the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". Check it out- great resource for natural birth control. or ccli.org

Keep the great videos coming!

Hi Roni, how are you?

Well, I have been reading your site for awhile but never watched the videos, and I just did, and I loved it. You really are so motivating and such a real person! I lost 110pds and regained almost all of it, and am so depressed and I loved the question about why unhappiness is not enough. It spoke to me too. Your answer is kinda where I am in my life now. Trying to accept myself, etc. before trying to lose weight again. Anyway. just wanted to say I really enjoy all your sites!

Hi Roni, I realize everybody else already said this, but I love your video posts because it really makes you seem real and relateable, like a real person. I mean, I know you ARE a real person, but sometimes when I read blogs I can't really imagine the person sitting at their computer typing them, and the video posts are so personal that they really add a lot.

I worked a job for a year where I had to take lunches with no refrigerator or microwave and my saving grace was tuna lunch packs. It's a little can of tuna, a packet of reduced fat mayo, a packet of pickle relish, and six crackers, along with one of those little wooden spoons like come in ice cream. None if it requires refrigeration and it totally holds up in a bookbag, so come lunch time you just mix it all up. It's 210 calories (at least the one I buy is) and a ton of protein with almost no fat, even with the mayo. When I was in grad school and super, super broke, I discovered that you could have this same meal more cheaply if you bought cans of tuna and packets of mayo and pickle relish at Costco and then packed your own lunch pack in a gladware. It's slightly more trouble, but almost a dollar cheaper per lunch. Yes, there was a time when saving a dollar on lunch was a high priority in my life.
