I’m at the beach but couldn’t stay away! Last night Lance congratulated me on my longest run ever (since tracking on the Nike+iPod). I clocked a 2.29 mile run at the beach in just under 23 minutes! I even increased my pace to 9:59 minute mile. I guess that’s what a flat boardwalk does for ya!

Here it is. Notice, the big dip. I was about to give up and then I pushed through. I’m so glad I did. I felt AWESOME after this run.

Run at the beach

My plan is to go again tonight to offset the french fries and ice cream! ;~)

PS If you are wondering about the Lance comment…. Lance Armstrong congratulates you when you finish a run and break some of your own records, like time, or distance. MAN! I love this thing!

Awesomeness! I’m way in love with my Nike + iPod, too!

you’ll have to tell me how you post your running image like that, k?

I wish I bought that when I was running. It is so cool. When I start up again one day, I’m getting it! You did a great job!

I think she does a screen shot. I know on my own website I was able to get a feed going of my last 5 runs (you press share at the top right and it gives you the code) It doesnt give a cool graph though. Graph is still there but only a straight line for me. I am not sure if its by design or not. After Roni mentioned the gadget last time I bought it because it seemed cool. I would have to say its the best purchase all year.

I heart my Nike+ when I use it..which unfortunately has not been very consistent lately. I’m guessing you must be near me with a “flat boardwalk” and being at the beach. Hope you are having fun!!

congrats on the run! That is AWESOME! How about you take a run for me????

I totally love my Nike+. Just yesterday I had my first congrats from Tiger Woods, on my fastest mile yet. I have to admit, the Lance Armstrong congrats was a little bit cooler.

I have posted a couple of my run graphs, and I use a screen shot for them. If you set a goal on your account, there is an option to get the code for a “widget” that shows the progress toward your goal (check out my blog for an example).

Roni, I know what you mean about flat making a difference. The park where I usually run is mostly flat, and I think it makes all the difference. I get jazzed every lap when I come to the one spot where it goes ever-so-slightly downhill, and I usually have a burst of speed for those few yards. Keep runnin’ and before we know it, we’ll have a sub-30:00 5k time! Way to go on pushing through the rough patch.

WTG Roni! When you hit those low points and feel like quitting, that’s when the using the Power Song option is awesome. For me, I use the song “Proud” which is the theme song from The Biggest Loser show. There’s just something about hearing, “What have you done today to make you feel proud?” that gets me going again.

Keep up the great work! :-)

  9. Holly says:

Nike and Apple should be giving you a kick back. They just made $30 off me today :)

I can’t wait to use it on my run tomorrow!

If you have a sec (your laughing right now aren’t you…) does the Nike thing work if you run on the treadmill?
Thks. Keep up the good work!

  12. roni says:

I think it does! I will be trying it out at the gym later this week!
I wan to see if the treadmill matches the Nike.
I’ll post about it when I do it, tonight or Wed.
