Post Surgery Update

Date June 18, 2008

Well, it’s over and I came out alive! Sore, but alive. To be frank, I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck.

I’m ordered to wear a binder until Friday’s post op appointment so I haven’t even seen the results or stitches but I can tell I’m super swollen.

The one thing that makes me feel better is to take walks around the house. It helps with the stiffness. I hope to be able to take a walk outside tomorrow, but we’ll see.

On the eating front today I was feeling well enough this morning to experiment in the kitchen. Actually I think its a form of therapy for me. I had fun researching and trying my hand at some homemade crêpes. I like them so much I ate them for every meal!

As promised, my food journal today, I do plan on counting points for a bit as I felt like my diet was getting away from me with the vacation, houseguests and parties. Even though I’m recovering the fact that we are back to normalcy at home is great. I’m taking full advantage of my time at home to catch up on projects and I’m make strides on the new site!

  5. Good to here you are well on your way to mending!

It IS so comforting to feel life ease back in to what we consider our normal routine. It’s like that when school starts for the kiddoes in the fall. (Which I am already looking forward to! ;) LOL) It’s fun to have them home and have to the freedom of “goofing around” with them, but, it is so much easier to stick with the plan when there’s a routine.

    Take care Roni!

Tammy, who is not really anonymous!

I just had surgery too. I had cartiledge taken out of my ears and put into my nose like a little bridge, so that my airways are held up. So, I’m recovering too. I hope now, I will have increased oxygen intake, so I will be able to exercise better!

You take care of yourself, and you will be back to “normal” in no time!!!
