they say... if you start and 3 you will finish at three-- if you start at 2 you will finish at 3. When potty training students at school, we go at a set time everyday-- that helps train your more than them. But with my daughter, she showed lost of interest and would do it at daycare, but not at home. Then one day, I let her pick out her own panties-- and she was done. I had tried everything... timer every thirty minutes, undies to le them feel it...she didn't care. When she was ready... it happened. Good Luck. ~~Amy

Roni, as for the potty training thing. My son is now four. Although he showed signs at just before 3 we were a success story until 3.5. My suggestion wait wait wait. If you can get him to sit on potty and try at a set time each day that starts the process but dont push it. it will only drive each of you nuts. None of us know what we are doing when it comes to this and I so felt that way. Try not to give your yourself a goal cause he will do it when he is ready. Start with sitting on potty at set times and trying (say 10 minutes after a lunch/drink) When it was all said and done for us. I was totally a believer of waiting.

When I get tired I reach out for the easy stuff too. Sometimes it not just the easy stuff that satisfies, its the pizza, or something someone else made :)
One meal at a time, one day at a time.

I'm so excited to have found your blog! I love your banner. I love that you are struggling even after being at it so long. I love that you're so honest about it all. I'll have to go check out your new community. Tomorrow will be better!

My oldest turns 3 in a week and we've been in undies for about 3-4 months now - although he REFUSES to tell me he needs to go at home, only out in public. So I just take him and tell him he HAS to try to go, and it has worked out so far! I promise he will do much better than you think he will - I was so surprised by my little guy. I just wish someone had told me how much work it is - constantly dragging him to the potty, especially with a 1 year old in tow! :)

I also lost my phone and when I got a new one, the phone company asked me if I wanted them to transfer all my old numbers over. I was ELATED! I thought I lost them forever - maybe your company does that too!

Good luck with everything!

Sounds like you're having one of those weeks when everything in your world seems to have gotten together and planned one massive attack!

You have a lot on your plate (no pun intended) and it's understandable that things feel overwhelming.

and pizza is mighty delicious. You're strong and fiesty and you'll get through this. Don't be too hard on yourself.

My oldest - a boy also - was at that same stage just before third birthday. I actually waited until his 3rd birthday and then it was 3 days total - no more diapers and totally done. It helps if they drink WATER and not juice for a while - it is easier to know when you have to go and there seems to be less urgency with water. I picked 3 days when we were going to be home. the other thing - is don't ask IF they "HAVE to go?" just tell him to "go try". I used to say do you want to try in the little bathroom or the big bathroom? And I always send kids to go (mine are now 18, 14, 10 - but I still say this) before we walk out the door to go anywhere at all.
