One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Early Week Wrap Up

Last week of classes is OVER!! That’s right, OVER! **Breathing a sigh of relief**

Oh geesh, I have so much to tell you I don’t know where to start. I think I’m going to have to do a list. It’s just how my brain works…

  1. The new weight loss community, Blog to Lose is going GREAT! I am having so much fun reading and participating it’s my new favorite past time. (Now that I’m not dealing with an influx of automated SPAM , thank you very much!).
  2. Food this week hasn’t been so great for me. If you remember I had the pizza incident early this week and tonight I fell apart after dinner. HOWEVER…
  3. On the workout front I’m kicking A$$! Running, spinning, lifting and even attempting the steep inclined wall a few times (didn’t make it yet, but I’m close). I’m sore as sore can be but I FEEL GREAT!
  4. I tackled a kitchen fear tonight and cooked a tuna steak at home! So glad I did! I’ll be making it again!
  5. One of my GreenLiteBites videos is being played on Cooking Light for Mothers Day! The toddler submitted it in a contest they had. Wasn’t that nice of him? ;~P
  6. I’m reading Half-Assed: A Weight-Loss Memoir and Jennette (aka as PastaQueen) will be stopping by here on her blog book tour May 23!
  7. I have some big decisions to make career wise (Hmmm maybe this is why I’m excessively snacking?? – there’s that stress thing again) My plans were to leave the college and embark on my own business adventures but now I have a long term project opportunity and the college may be offering me a really good position to stay. I know my problems could be worse but it’s a little nerve racking when you have to make such big decisions. At least it is for me. I tend to obsess, over-analyze and freak myself becuase I think I’ll make the wrong decision. I know this about myself and I still stress. However…
  8. My home office is complete! I finally have a place of my own and a new computer. I so feel like and “official” blogger now. :~)
  9. Oh! and MizFit linked to me (I’m glad she reminded me because I forgot!) on her Link Love and a Friday FREEBIE! post. She always has the most fun links!

OK, I think I touched on everything. I’m going to head over to the chat room and see if anyones in there.

Have a great night!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Man! That list made me smile – so much good news!

CONGRATS ON THE COOKING LIGHT! (and yes, that clearly trumps todays MizFit shoutout (*wink*))

I also love how you referred to it as the pizza incident. do we (the royal) need to use caps? call it the Great Pizza Incident of 2008?
(nothing like NAMING–for me anyway–to prevent that specific slippage from happening again.)

    have a great weekend, Roni.

You should post pictures of your new home office!

That’s cool that your toddler is so up on technology and was able to submit you to Cooking Light! I love Cooking Light!

    Have a great day!

Thank you for being so honest Roni. I often feel like falling apart after dinner. Why? After eating a full meal and I want more after dinner? Perhaps out of habit of always having dessert after dinner as a kid? I don’t know.

Anyway, you sound like you are in an awesome place with the exercise! It feels so good.

I have to tell you that two months ago I had accepted a job at work that I thought I really wanted until…they offered me another position (a promotion) in my current unit. I was tourmented for weeks. (I know…oh such problems…) So the problem you ask? Didn’t know what I wanted to do…how did I know what the right thing to do was? I had to think long term, take a chance and hope for the best…everyone understood. I was afraid I would let people down, that they would be angry with me, etc. But why would I want to worry about others? Just my own values coming in to play. Don’t want to let anyone down who has put their faith in me…don’t want to seem like I don’t care, that I am selfish, that I can’t commit. You can always try to work on the project work at school and if it’s too much, you can always let them know. Keep thinking it thru and your answer will come to you…hope I haven’t confused you even more.

    Have a great weekend…

You are doing great! Thanks for taking time out of your busy, busy life to share with us!

Thanks for the great post! And congratulations on all the great news from your homefront! Even getting over and through the Pizza Incident.

One good thing about projects is that they don’t last forever. You can look back at what a great job you’ve done and probably be in line for more projects down the road. It’s just like running your own business wherein you’d be taking on projects anyway. It sounds like a nice bridge between totally throwing in the towel and going on your own and having some anchoring while experimenting with your own company. Just a thought. It’s basically what I do for a living so thought I’d throw in my two cents, lol.

    Thanks again.

Alright, can I just tell you something? I never liked pizza very much. I mean, I would eat it if it was there, but I would never order it. I got a serving job at a very popular, busy pizza place almost a month ago, and now I want to eat pizza EVERY DAY. I guess I never had good pizza until I ate at this place!

Luckily we sell out of dough almost every night, so we don’t get to eat it often, but man, oh man…I had a pizza incident last night for sure!
