I love the southwest salad! I’m a vegetarian and even without the chicken it is delicious. I love feeling like I got all the extras-the tortilla strips, cheese, flavorfulness- without loading up on calories.

OHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS BABY!!! you are so informative – when u told me they were gone i was like she can’t be right they wouldn’t do that because it ROCKS their menu. so i journey to mickey d’s and you were right and i read your post and about do-do’d my pants. it helped me lose 15 lbs last year and momma’s ready to do it again! thanks roni for keeping me informed – i never do fast food but i will now!!!!

yes! I was so sad when they were taken off the menu. In general, I hate fast food, but these are actually good and a great option when you’re traveling.

YEAH! Agreed, that salad is amazing. And the southwest style one at Arby’s is no comparison (in points or taste), which is what I have turned to in the absence of MDs version.

I usually eat the asian chicken with grilled chicken when my boys and I hit up McD’s. It’s 5 points and delicious!!!

McD’s said it is STILL a “limited time only” salad until the end of the summer…but seriously, they need to rethink that! It’s THE salad of all fast-food salads out there!

I honestly was able to walk into McDonald’s for lunch (smelling the french fry and cheeseburger yumminess), and order a SALAD. That’s pretty amazing within itself.

Long live the SWSALAD! ;)
