I workout 6 days a week, the days I workout my appetite is rarely up..its the non workout days that I am insatiable….it seems to be a cycle. Looks like you made good choices though!

It’s been said before, but remember:

    PROTEIN

Great job not having a pig-out!

I’m the same way, my day-off days make me SO hungry. It thus makes me feel icky and gross…

    random thought.

when I was a trainer full time and people would express the I WAS SO HUNGRY ALL DAY! sentiment we had a silly drill of:

were you so hungry youd eat a can of tuna?

when (and it was sometimes!) the answer was YES I ‘made’ them have an extra minimeal that day as their body was TRULY HUNGRY.

it’s such a delicate balance and I found that sometimes my clients would assume pangs were emotional hungers when they really were ‘growing pain hungers’ from increased exercise/muscle creations.

    hope it’s ok I rambled…

That is exactly how I felt yesterday. I always feel that way on Mondays!

What is up with that? There are days when no matter how many fiber-filled high-volume foods I eat, the hungrier I feel! Darn!

PROTEIN mamma. You need more protein, in addition to your carbs. I’m a runner too (2 marathons, several half-marathons, various other distances) and I can tell you that when I first started building up serious mileage, I was an eating MACHINE. Especially the day FOLLOWING a long run.

Your muscles need protein to help re-build the microscopic fibers that break down during hard workouts. Maybe some LF cottage cheese with some pieapple? Apple and peanut butter?

Thank you for continuing to be such an inspiration! I think you are amazing.

I HATE days like that. Last week I had a day where I felt like all I did was eat all day, and I still was hungry all day. Those are so frustrating!
