if you are having cravings after exercise, you probably NEED to eat more, especially protein. Consider a glass of skim chocolate milk immediately after, it helps with the cravings. And make sure you eat the extra points for the work out, your body needs it!!

I agree with Jennie that your "extra" 5 lbs is really muscle. If you stopped working out for a few months (which of course you won't do!) you would probably lose the 5 lbs because you would lose muscle.

Working out has always been a challenge for me because I always GAIN weight! Then when I stop working out the pounds drop off. But I know it's muscle that is dropping off, too, so I try to stick with it.

Thanks for your inspiriting site.

I love your blog, Roni. You have a way of making things very clear.

I got a little down on myself this weekend, but you put it into perspective: I have control over this. And if I stay positive, I'll be able to do it. Right now, I'm about 35 lbs over my goal weight (I've lost 17 so far), but I'm getting there!

I used to be a circus performer and with the massive amount of working out we constantly ate. we needed lots of calories for our bodies to repair and build muscle. A suggestion would be to talk to your trainer about what they recommend dietwise to keep up with all the activity. She can also measure you bmi which may just tell you the 5 extra pounds is pure muscle ;) You are inspiring and I know you will reach your goals. you are in a totally different chapter now in life.
Jennie

I know you can do this!!! Your blog is so real..everytime I read it...it reminds me of things that I have thought about myself or maybe how the topic relates to me. I know that I keep saying I can't work out cause I don't have time...I have realized..excuses are not good and that I can work out and I will be even happier when I do work out and see results...its just more motivation that I need to get me past that bump...I think you tracking your menu will definately help and you can have those last few pounds off before you know it..keep up the great work!

Roni,

I keep trying to think of why I like your blog so much. It is because you bring real life and information to the table all the time in a way we all can get something out of it. You really got my WW thinging juices flowing today. Thank you.

Lou

I am on board. I CAN TOO!!! I am looking ahead into my future and picking an occasion where I want to be at my goal weight. I too, have 6 pounds to loose.....lets do it! There was nothing stopping me the first time....and I actually enjoyed loosing. It gave me a little "high". I love the challenge. But, my mind set hasn't been there lately. It is there today. I am ready to go. 6 lbs by June 1st. POSSIBLE!
