I think it's so important to be reminded again and again that getting to goal is by no means an end. I used to roll my eyes when I'd hear people say it, but having lived it, maintenance is so much more difficult that losing. It is a constant stuggle, but one well worth engagin in!

Hey Roni,

Thanks for posting the inspiring link. My co-worker has lost 130 pounds and I always think "if only, if only" and "hmmm, would I look like that when I'm at my goal weight". I find it hard sometimes to see the end result when I've never been that weight or in that 'place of mind'...its hard to think about the final result. I'm the type of person who likes to read the end of a story and know where its going....my life is certainly not like a book. My chapters changed from month to month and week to week!!

I'm writing my own story now and I've got the 'outline' all plotted out....just like my English Professor instructed me to do. If I stray from the path...I'll change the ending. I certainly do not want to change the ending!

Does this make sense?

Did you have an 'ending' that you saw when you started your journey? Did you know the direction you were going?

I'm rambling again....

I liked his comment about when he lost the first time, he lost to look for a girl. I am finding that this time, I am losing for the right reasons...because I didn't feel good, and I wanted to feel better. All my life, and the last time I lost a large amount, I lost because I wanted a boyfriend, and I lost it by starving myself, and when I got 75 pounds off, I thought I was "done". THIS time, I am losing with Weight Watchers, I am in this as a life change, for LIFE, and I'm doing it for myself...so I feel better, and so I can have energy for my grandchildren. And because of this, I am SURE I will not gain it back, although I am well aware of it being even harder to maintain than to get it off in the first place.
Bonnie
