Swiss Miss Diet Hot CocoaI saw Swiss Miss Diet while shopping last weekend and after seeing it was only 25 calories a servings with no fat and 1 g of fiber (0 points!) I thought it was worth a try!

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much, nothing with only 25 calories can be that good.  This low expectation created a pleasant surprise. I think I may have actually said aloud, “Humpf! Not bad!”

I was right, it’s not the best hot chocolate in the world but when you are married to a hot chocolate junkie and don’t want to waist 3-4 point to enjoy a cup with him after a long walk in the cold or shoveling snow this is a good option. I made it with water then added a splash of milk to cool it down. It reminded me of the hot cocoa you would get in one of those machines. You know with the cards on the cup. I never really minded the machine hot cocoa. I guess you can say I’m the opposite of a food snob! ;~)

    Hi, Roni!

The diet swiss miss is okay…but next time, try the Nestle Carb Select – without the marshmallows — It’s also zero points (or pretty darn close!) and is WAY better :-)

Happy New Year! You continue to be a daily source of inspiration for a fellow maintainer :-)

I love the diet Swiss Miss. I do add 1 packet of splenda to mine though cause I like it really sweet.

I actually like the taste of the diet better than the regular lol. =0 Call me crazy, wish it was like that with all foods.

I like to take it and add it to a cup of coffee – it makes you feel like you’re having something “bad” at Starbucks. If you really want to be naughty add a bit of cool-whip!

I really like the Swiss Miss Diet Hot Cocoa. I too, like mine a little sweeter and I add one of the Splenda Flavor Blends (French Vanilla) which adds not only sweetness but a little richness to the flavor……yum.

I love that cocoa! I add sugar free Toriani syrup to mine — the white chocolate is quite tasty.

I also vote for the Nestle Carb Select. I got to have me some marshmallows in my cocoa, even if they are tiny and artificial!

I always look at that stuff at the store and consider it. Then I look at the ingredient list and am grossed out.

Which is just really ironic since I drink diet Coke like crazy. :P So I just make cocoa with nonfat milk and cocoa powder and a little sugar. Not low in points though.

Great Values (walmart brand) reduced calorie kind is only 1 pt. and pretty darn good :)

  15. I don’t buy Nestle products, but I do love the Swiss Miss Sensible Sweets kind. It’s the same calories/fat/fiber as the one you mentioned, and it tastes great considering it’s zero points!
