Short & Sweet
January 9, 2008
Alright, this going back to work thing is kicking my butt! I don’t think I can keep with all the things I want to do. I have officially hit the point where there isn’t enough hours in the day.
I don’t know about you but as I get older I find I just don’t want to compromise things I want to do for me and for my family. What I mean is there are some non-negotiable things, like cooking a healthy meal and eating dinner as a family, like going to the gym for ‘me’ time, like updating this site and like right now! I have a date with the husband to watch Criminal Minds. It’s one of our favorites!
SO I’m signing off. :~)
Had a GREAT DAY hope you did to!

How was your date? I don’t blame you for not compromising on things. That’s how I am. Stick to your guns!
UPDATE… Still no phone call from the grocery store guy, but, I did meet a cute guy last night at the comedy show. So now, of course, grocery store guy will call… When it rains, it pours! I’ll update you later on my blog!

Awesome on the weight loss today! I’m the same way as you – if it’s down, I don’t argue!!!
I don’t have any children yet, but I can sympathize with not wanting to compromise your time each day to do things that matter to you. There are definitely not enough hours in the day, but some days things just meld together better, it seems! Best of luck as you juggle it all!

Your melon looked so good…I’m going to get some next time I shop. The oranges are so good now, but I’m really looking forward to the next wave: the spring fruits and vegetables.

The hubby and I love Criminal Minds as well! I love that it’s ‘finally’ back on, well for now with that writters strike in Hollywood, which I didn’t even know of till last night…anyway, we love it too and had a ‘date’ and watched too.

Work gets in the way of everything. We should just win the lottery.

Yay Criminal Minds! I love that show, but my husband won’t watch it with me because it creeps him out! What a baby! Keep up the great posts!

I totally agree on the no compromising thing. Hubby and I went to Paris for our honeymoon in September and they are the absolute kings and queens of no compromise. It is a fabulous way to live, make each day count!

Thanks for checking in with us… My scale was down a ton today too! Four pounds, in fact… weird… I try not to get too attached to the low number when things like this happen, just like I try not to freak out about a big number when I see a gain!

You and your blog are so great! And it’s awesome that you stick to certain non-negotiables– once you establish those, being busy becomes a whole lot easier!
